Installing my new Weathertechs today, wondering about these covers on the front seats, no idea how they got trashed. The inner covers on both seats are like this.

Is this a common thing? These are not salvageable, but I don't want to replace them if it's just gonna happen again.

My driver and Pass seat track caps look the same as yours. I pop them back into place all the time, but they seem to dislodge and bend back similar to yours within a few days I've noticed.

I looked into purchasing them a couple months ago, they weren't prohibitively expensive, but I was afraid that they were going to bend the same way again and it would have been $$ wasted.

Why can one turn off ventilation to the rear? I understand being able to control it from the front, but why would someone want to completely turn off HVAC to the rear? Out of curiosity, do you all leave it on or use it only when you have rear passengers?

I see no reason to run it when nobody is sitting back there. Mine is off if I have no passengers.

Why would you want to be running a whole additional HVAC system (including its own compressor) in the back if no one is back there? 90% of the time I'm alone in my 200, so I appreciate the ability to not have the back HVAC running all the time. If I had kids or back seat passengers all the time, I'd probably feel differently.

Using the rear just cools the entire vehicle off quicker, keeps the cooling more balanced. Front does not have to work as hard. But that being said, I normally just use the front. Guys it is one big open area, not like in your house where you can shut off rooms

I don't like letting an A/C compressor sit anymore than necessary. Always seems like vehicle AC units work until they aren't used. That's when seals and the like dry, crack, seize etc. I could be completely wrong in my thinking but both of my '99s still blow ice cubes in the front and rear so I stick with it on the 200's as well. :hillbilly:

There is an additional A/C condenser in the rear, but there is only one compressor for the entire system - the one under the hood.

Which tires wear fastest on the 200 series the front or the rear? Also heard you should always have your best tires on the rear of the vehicle for safety is that true ?

I use a 5 tire rotation every 5k miles and it keeps the wear evenly distributed. I've never noticed excessive front or rear wear comparatively.

The vent right above the door on the rear driver's side, I point at the back of my head/ neck area. I am tall, so I drive with the front seat all the way back. It cools me off faster in this Texas heat.

Exactly. Rear A/C on all the time in the spring/summer/fall. Plus with the ventilated seats it helps to have the ventilated air cooler, to the extent any of it gets sucked in from the rear.

1. I am getting the Maintenace Reqd Soon message in the dash. None of my settings (rotation, oil, brakes etc are due) How do I figure out what is due soon?

2. Does my '13 LC have heated side mirrors and if so, are they on all the time?

3. Can I adjust for larger tire size (34") in the TechStream settings to adjust fuel mileage calculations and speedometer?

Thanks!!

Maintenance required soon just means you're due for your next 5000 mile inspection they just forgot to reset at the Lexus dealer for whoever did it for you last time just go off about three or four entries and look at the video tells exactly how to change that to reset it. You can address from her larger tires will text frame but she'll know by looking at a tire size comparison how much difference it makes in miles per gallon and mentally it's just that when you're looking at your speedometer and your heated mirrors on it all out on all the time there's a switch next to your steering wheel it does that
