looking at adding some fog lights, how do you pop off the interior panel to add a switch?

You'll have to remove the ~4 screws at the bottom of the dash (two are visible when laying on the floor, and two are covered with a plastic tab you pop back). Then slowly pop the plastic dash panel out.

I replaced my grill with the Black Ebay one, and alot of the little black pop up clips broke, where do I get those? and anyone know a better name than little black pop up clips?

TIA

That's everything that holds the grill on for a 2013: 2,3,4

I'm completely stumped. Even my Google-Fu has failed me. I don't believe the truck has been doing this until yesterday but now I cannot get these tiny corner lights at the rear to go off! I checked all doors and rear hatch to make sure they are seated good. The interior dome lights are off also indicating that the vehicle also thinks all doors are closed good. Tried the headlight switch in the "ON" and "OFF" position also. Tried locking manually and then with keyless fob; all to no avail. They go off when the doors close but when the interior lights auto dim to off these little guys on each rear corner kick on and stay on.

Any thoughts?

Wild guess, but could it be related to proximity of your key fob? Does this happen when your fob is <<insert minimum distance here>> far enough away? E.g. park it down the block from your home, lock it, walk back to house and hang up you key fob, walk back to your LX and see if the lights are still lit?

Good thought. Just took the remote and buried it in a store room at my office and tried the lock button with no response so I think it is out of range. Little lights are still on.

have never noticed those lights coming on before on either of our LX's. you did some electrical work on it maybe something got shorted or crossed?

Definitely potential for that to have happened. I have finally picked up that it appears they are acting completely inversely to the interior dome lights. When the dome lights go off these 2 little guys come on. I've been changing the overheads to LED's also and perhaps it could be related to that?

ETA: It's pouring right now so can't do much more troubleshooting until it lets up. I'll tinker with bulbs in the overhead lights and also check the back driver's side access panel where the USB socket and CTEK display were installed. That's about the closest thing to those lights that have seen any work.

I didn't even realize that those lights were there... Now, I "need" to go look at mine...

Was just heading to lunch and checked on that light. On mine its just a marker light that comes on with the other markers/headlights and shuts off when the lights turn off. It does not come on like the interior and puddle lights do when you approach the car. If you have had a ton of rain you may also be getting water ingress somewhere that may be shorting something out. If its had a replacement windshield I would check carpets under the a pillars closely to make sure water is not getting into fuse box or relays. Was a common issue on 100s.

Yeah the addition of rain definitely worried me that it could be an ingress issue there. One thing I have done in the rain is figure out that if I approach it the 2 rear marker lights go off and the interior/exterior courtesy lights come on. When I retreat, those go off and these come on. So it sounds like these may be wired into the wrong circuit or were hooked back into something errantly when we were dealing with wires in the rear. It's too consistent to be a moisture thing. They behave consistent. Just consistently backwards/wrong! :hillbilly:

SQOD entry # 5,744: For those of you who use RFID passes for a parking garage, security gate, or similar, have you noticed any unique challenges / interference from your LC's windshield? My 2011 windshield is OEM, going on about 68k miles, with a few rock chips patched/glued, etc... but otherwise original.

I have seen/read/heard something about the LC windshield is thicker/different than other cars / manufacturers as part of their endurance durability longevity pursuit. I am having issues with my garage at work, and have replaced the transponder multiple times thinking dead battery, worn out plastic, bad voojoo... It works now, but only with the utmost care and extreme patience entering/exiting the garage. (sorry to everyone who gets stuck behind me trying to exit at quitting time) Waiving it around maniacally seems to be the only recourse.

Anyone else see something like this? Is it the LC's uber windshield, or is my parking garage just exploiting customers and failing to provide a decent service? (No one else using that garage seems to have the same issue, those same 'no one else' do not have an LC)

I have an EZPass on mine and it works fine. My windshield was replaced though so I can't confirm if it's really the same thickness as the original, but I would expect it to be.

Any difference if you have your windows or sunroof open?

The garage sensor is aligned to the center of the lane and overhead but positioned slightly behind the cross arm. So, even if I could slip my hand up & through the sunroof (I have a Gobi rack w/ sunroof insert), I think I'll have mowed down the cross arm before getting close enough to test.

Good suggestion, a creative approach that I'll at least check out, but I'm not optimistic.

I don't have my pass card affixed to the window, and my dirty windshield (damn grubby paws) is a testament to all the positions and angles I have tried.

FWIW, I have spoken to the garage mgmt team (not helpful), and I do see a lot of other lifted Jeeps and over-sized F250s, etc.. so I wouldn't think it would be the size/height of my vehicle causing the issue, but I could definitely be 1000% wrong.

Do ARB bumpers ever go on sale? In Texas, we can usually find a good CL deal on ranch hand bumpers for trucks. What alternatives do I have short of paying full retail asking price?

Well 99.9% of the time it'll be the minis that pop so a pack of various amp mini fuses, you don't need the low profile ones. Just regular minis fit. Autozone or equivalent has packs.

And whatever wacky fuses your second battery or auxiliary systems use (generally old school blades or ANL). Plus an alternator fuse, I think it's a bussman 120A.

Tried to find this answer but can't get a clear one.

2013 LC. Will the radar cruise bring you to a complete stop? I have felt and heard the brakes engaging but not sure I want to field test!
