I bought this Land Cruiser in 2015 and have put around 20K miles on it since then. We have used it for our hiking / snowshoeing adventure vehicle and it has been great. We have taken it to Moab and all over southern Utah, Glacier NP, and all over Oregon and Northern California. We camped in the roof top tent around a dozen or so times too! It has been a great vehicle for us! I hope the next owner enjoys it as much as we have!
I wouldn’t be selling it, but over the last few years we built a Lexus LX450 (same as the 80 series Land Cruiser) from the ground up and it is now our new adventure vehicle. That means it’s time to sell the LC and let someone else enjoy it as much as we have.
The previous owner was a Toyota tech and did most of the work mentioned on the list. I recently serviced it and put new front brakes (rotors and pads) on it along with resealing a leaking birf. This LC needs nothing! It does not burn oil and runs great!
As you can see, the previous owner and I have already fixed or upgraded every known issue that 80's are known for. It has no check engine lights, drives smooth and straight down the road, and stays under 195* with a/c on even when over 100* ambient air temp.
There are a few minor blemishes that didn’t bother me so I never did anything about them: small dent in hood, small dent in front passenger side door, crack in dash, rocker panel damage from PO on driver’s side below rear door, paint rubbed off of a couple fender flares, paint rub on rear hatch behind ladder, missing a little leather on the corner of center console arm pad. It is an off-load rig after all.
