Haha!

Well already starting my upgrades (cause they're never done) for SAS . Randy happily pointed out that my dirty diesel left a couple drips of oil in his garage. I ordered the Redhead 80 w/ the 105 for my 60 to fix that. I have a feeling this going to make it less fun to drive down the interstate now. :steer:

Switched to a Std 80 while my 60 one was rebuilt and now leaving the 80 in, no difference in driving and don't see the 105 sector shaft making any difference (unless you referring to some maybe existing wobble/slop as fun). Just my opinion.

But have a rebuilt Original as spare. Rebuild by: Raven Power Steering Specialist in Denver. (d/t my own failed attempt)

105 is for strength.. The stock 80 shafts like to twist and snap . That upgrade doesn't improve handling . Just the ability to keep steering after wacking a big rock

I recall a little rock 03-20, 60 box good for 3 years before a leak(Ih8leaks). But also a few much bigger ones afterwards. But symphatethical driving (still go a little nuts) a skill I’m still learning and practicing. Keeps me upright and in general problem free.

Passanger front hit threw me to Driver side, just a little minor bleeding from the ear.

Why I feel 105 shaft over hyped.

Well I also took into consideration that I have 37s with steel rims and balancing beads on mine. Just don't think a stock 60 box is best suited for that kind of and still get longevity out of it. With that being said, I have been running the stock 60 box with 37s for years now. I put a HP pump on it a few month back and maybe it is too much pressure and caused the leaks to start, possible.

Most importantly is now @DangerNoodle won't ask me why I don't have a Redhead.

Also could've done without the pictures of the flopped 60. :hmm: lol

and balancing beads on mine.

What's you're impression of balancing beads?

I am using them on my 80 with 35's. When they find home, they're great. Like really great.
They have a habit of not balancing in a turn, that kinda drives me crazy and I'm not sure I'd do it again.

So my personal opinion is that I feel like the pros and cons between beads and weights are about even. Weights tend to come off the rim in the rocky area. If you use the sticky ones then you get completely clean your rim off. I went with the beads because can you balance a 37" tire on a 17" rim with weights but just ends up looking terrible with 9 oz here, 3 over there, .5 right there. For the sake of spending 30 mins a tire just to balance, easier to pull the core and just put 10 oz in and let physics do its work.
Laziness/time management and visual appeal are why I keep using beads.

I haven't really felt them them not finding a home when turning though, but Colorado doesn't know what road maintenance is.

Minnesota roads suck too. 😆

Agreed on having a pile of weights pounded on the lip, it beats the crap outta your wheels and causes electrolysis too.
My tire guy recommended the beads since I just had the Toyota wheels powder coated, and I don't think he wanted to beat up freshly painted wheels.

When they balance nice, they are silly smooth though.

I'm also wondering if there is enough weight, I think it was 6 ounces per tire put in. Or, I've got something else going on that showed up at the same time....

I run airsoft BB's in my 37's with beadlocks on my 80.
I'm happy with it. Perfect? No, but works great for me!

I think what this thread needs is complete silence. Every time somebody comments I get a notification and I think it's "THE ANNOUNCMENT" from Casey 😂

Y'all are over here giving people the fake out!
