@Broski should get an award for highest mpg in an 80
I know, I probably have the only 80 being towed to the event.
But it makes the wife happy to have the camper and me to and I can actually get her to come a long.
I realize that most people build out the 80 as a overland Reg.
But the way Mine’s build out it’s more of a dedicated Rock Crawler trail Reg.
Did I Mention that it on 39s and bead locks
All through its street legal the tow Reg / camper is safer for long road trips and get almost the same Milage as a loaded 80 pulling the 80 and the camper. Haha 😂
Cheers
See you all soon!!!!

After 24 hours in my 80 with a failing exhaust system, I WISH we would have towed it!

Hanging at Spanish Forks CG southeast of Provo. So far have escaped any heavy rain. Debating on heading southern route through Moab to Ouray or faster over to Grand Junction and down through Montrose. All quiet on the AC compressor after unplugging it.

We have not decided which way to go.
We will probably take the 70 through Grand junction, wife’s call 😉

Not sure if its been mentioned but the onX app is pretty good for trails/maps especially for offline maps..

And new users get a week of premium for free (no CC needed).. perfect timing to get it now for the SAS!

Just ribbing ya @Broski. Smart man. Happy wife. Happy life. Really looking forward to connecting.

Well it definitely came down to the wire on this build, didn't get as far as I'd like, and she's quite the ugly duckling of the posse, been fighting gremlins all week, but she's very close to leaving for Ouray. It's all installing accessories and getting the interior prepped tonight and tomorrow, with a plethora of tools.

so far onX has been great. Downloaded a bunch of maps for offline. I actually signed up early but at the end of the 7day trail they email you a 20% off coupon.

Well have to throw in the towel and take my car this year. Got everything working but can’t clear a P0171 code. Running too lean to
So…anyone have a spare ac compressor for a 12HT? Mine (non-functioning) started making intermittent sounds like the bearings are going. Thinking maybe I should just cut the belt and put on a smaller one to run the water pump. Just west of Ontario so may look there or in Boise for one tomorrow.

Kay and I rolled into Ouray about 7:30 pm. Beautiful drive from Durango to Ouray over three passes, and hardly any traffic. Started down from Red Mountain Pass with the early evening sunlight on the cliffs and mountains above Ironton. We didn't see the McVickers on their way to Silverton for ice cream though.

We're at the Quality Inn, and will drop by the KOA tomorrow morning in the FJ40 to roust up any other SAS'ers that may have come in early. Maybe someone's up for a Sunday drive.

My 60 is running. Roll out tomorrow. I’ll get there as soon as I can. Probably Monday night at this point.

Well, we roll out in the mornin in the 83' 40 with Boyz. List of repairs accomplished includes rebuilt rear monte carlo brake caliper, relocate charcoal canister out of engine bay, install manual flex fan, and custom-built shroud. Custom glow in the dark TOYOTA grill emblem(just for fun). new xm stereo and speakers, power steering pump flush. Then going 4 or 5 rounds with the a/c system before pressure testing and discovering the compressor was leaking 2 days ago, then finding one at "Vatochrome" and install, vacuum, charge the system and finally after years, ice cold air con. in the shorty forty! :D See ya'll sunday afternoon! Drive safe Please

Working on tube fenders. Got to play in the itchy blankets all day. Fun!

Done. Just need to grab some small LED dots for blinkers and running lights. I can't believe that I made it, but I'm ready for SAS. Will probably be rolling in around 3:00 - 4:00.
