Hello All, I plan on attending the SAS next summer as it will provide me the opportunity to adventure and camp in Colorado/Utah/Aridzona prior to dropping my truck off with Kelly Saad for a makeover. How does one register for this event? Is there some secret handshake involved? I've done some searching but didn't find a website etc but saw some comments here that the event "sells out". I don't want to be that guy and show up without paying my dues, so to speak.
I'm planning on attending the SAS, then maybe heading over to SLC to see @cruiseroutfit , then down the BDR to Flagstaff via Mexican Hat. I've driven the Utah and Colorado BDR's on my motorcycle so the terrain is familiar and should be a piece of cake for the 60.

Any feedback or help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers, James

No secret handshake, you just have to watch the sas thread and when SAS9 registration is launched get on board and sign up. It’s not some crazy cult. It’s just an event.🤣

Yes, wasn't implying it was a crazy cult :). Where will this thread be located? Hopefully here on mud somewhere?

Follow this link:
SAS - SAS #8 Official Page 08/05/2024-08/09/2024 - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/sas-8-official-page-08-05-2024-08-09-2024.1330181/

and we will post the new link when registration opens in 2025. No date will be posted so you have to watch the old thread.

Also, we limit the registered vehicles to 75.
Hello Mesa Woman, thank you for the information, this is great. When does the registration typically open so I can mark my calendar to start checking?
Due to my work situation, I need to schedule time off way in advance as I travel overseas frequently. I'm really looking forward to coming, just hope I can make the registration work out.

Thanks again for the help.

Cheers, James

You’re not the only one in that situation, I get it, but there is no date to share. All I can say is follow the SAS 8 thread and put it on your radar in 2025 for sure!

We typically start getting ready for SAS launch following the Christmas and New Years holiday seasons. We don't post an exact time or a date for SAS launch but recommend you "Watch with receiving E-Mail notifications" on the previous years thread for "hints".

@DrRock

To clarify what @Mesa Woman said, watch the SAS8 thread. I think she had a typo there suggesting the SAS7 thread (although the correct thread was linked). Next year's event is always announced in the previous year's thread. Set EVERY notification you can so you can jump on it when the announcement is made. Yes, there will be some false alarms as people start to chatter in the thread in January, but you'll have to deal with that haha.

Oooo, good catch! Apologies. I’ll edit my post now to say follow SAS8!

Thanks Man, Looking forward to catching up in person. Fingers crossed that I get registered.
