$800.00 plus shipping with a modern Blue Sea 6 circuit ATC fuse block with cover (will fit where old one fit), $750.00 with NO fuse block. NEW OEM fuse blocks are still available, talk to CDan or Beno for availability.

I built this complete harness for someone that never paid me for it. I am selling it at a reduced price to get it out of my way.

Here is what you will get:

All new main chassis harness. This is NOT a reconditioned harness! Built new with GXL/SXL cross linked wire (upgraded to larger size on some circuits (Headlights and charging circuit for example) to reduce voltage drop. PLUS I added a replaceable fusible link to the main power circuit. Does support the Amp Meter (some early 63 to 64 did not have the amp gauge)

Main Harness also has the following added: A labeled terminal for connecting an Idle Solenoid, if running a later carb, a labeled terminal for adding illumination to user added gauges (taps into the dash lights), and has a labeled Radio connector hot wire that is wired into the ACC position on the key switch. This wire is hot when key is on, or when key is in the ACC position. These "extra" are all fused through the fuse panel.

The main chassis harness is wired for a heater fan and heater switch. Because I have been unable to locate a replacement rubber connector for these odd connectors, they use the following: Heater switch: 4 pin Toyota style connector to an included adapter that goes to bullet terminals for the OEM heater switch. The heater blower connector is a Toyota style 3 pin connector and has a mating plug that goes to three bare wires. Simply connect these to the heater blower and resistor per OEM and you can then unplug it just like OEM.

Sub Harnesses included:

All new Wiper Sub harness
All new BIB Harness
All new Headlight sub harnesses

Rear Chassis harness
All new upgraded to GXL 16ga wire. OEM Except that I added a detachable 4 pin trailer plug connector. There is a waterproof cap to put on it when not towing.

All harnesses are wrapped in non-adhesive harness tape.
These harnesses will complete that restoration you are doing!

I would LOVE to able to provide you with an all new 1979 harness. However starting 10/71 Toyota made MAJOR changes to the wiring harnesses in the FJ40. First they moved the fuse block and changed from ring terminals to attach wires to it , to inline connectors which cannot be found anywhere I have looked. (I do stock the large 7.9mm terminals that fit these connectors!) Next they started using these odd ball connectors for the Emissions computer and related sensors, tail lights, rear chassis harness to cowl harness connectors and regulator connector. Again, those cannot be found anywhere. (Some of these connectors fortunately do use the standard 6.3mm terminals. Others like the emissions computer I can get the FEMALE terminals but not the male or the housings.) Finally Toyota also switched to using green and brown colored plastic connectors standard .250 connectors. All my standard connectors that fit, are either white or black. So what it boils down to is this: I have documented the later harnesses and if a source for the odd ball connectors could be found I would start building them.

On another note: If you pull your existing harness, lay it out on a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood and un-tape it, you will find that the harness is in excellent condition under the tape. Once un-taped, make a list of all the wires/connectors that need to be replaced or repaired, get on my web site and order what you need. I even have the non-adhesive harness tape to tape it back up. It will look brand new when you are done!

...REALLY want a new setup for my '79...

I think I have a good used one from a '79. Call me at the shop and leave a message and I will have a look. Please do not PM me. Mark
