just curious..since the hard doors are such a pain to remove and it end ups damaging the paint a bit im wondering if there is a nice top and door setup for the lc. i dont want to go the bikini top and no/bar door route because while its cool and all i live in ri and want to be able to use the truck in the winter without having to put the hard setup back on.

any suggestions?

best top makes one but i don't like the way it looks. there are the origanl looking cloth tops that people have had custom made which would be the only one i would consider. You've got a good loking top and I would suggest using that in the winter in RI. I left my top off for the entire winter for the first time this year and i'm itching to put it back on. I'm just waiting on spring to really get here in VA.

this is SOR's

The paint won't get damaged if you install the upper door pin in upside down. Just make sure you have some good hinge bushings.

yeah i am fortunate the setup thats on there is in pretty good shape. but i have no ac so air flow is my friend lol. so i would at a minimum like to be able to remove the doors. being able to remove the top is iffy but would also be nice. the truck will see more use in the summer to be honest. yeah i saw bestops looks like a damn (insert j word we do not speak of) i actually like that one you posted a lot. call me crazy. nothing like an african safari on a saturday morning in new england lol

only problem is no windows in the front :(

 The factory soft top doors have a sliding plexiglass window. The vent piece is fixed. These door have different hinge. Remove the door limiter, swing the door further open and lift up.

As for putting a door pin in from the bottom. If your changing the whole top it's just as easy to tilt the windshield forward while the top is off and remove the upper door pins. Just removing the doors with the top on is when it's a pain to lift top to swing the windshield out of the way. For a twice a year season change of top and doors it's no problem. I found it easier to just have a soft top and hard top model.:meh:

you can use soft top door hinges on the hard top doors and the doors are easy to remove .all my dds had this setup .they can also be made without removing the hard door hinge from the truck.open the door halfway and it lifts out. this will require a bit of touch up .
