I finished up the TMS snorkel install last night. Overall pretty smooth. The supplied template wasn't quite accurate. The two holes closest to the windshield were not in the correct place but that was about all I needed to change. After drilling the holes, I removed the fender to make it easier to tighten all the bolts and remove the factory intake plumbing. The quality of the snorkel is really quite good, in fact excellent considering the price. For a $40 Snorkel it is great. Comparing it to the Safari snorkels I've used in the past, the obvious difference is the lack of the embossed Safari logo on the main body. Fitment is and construction is good although it may not be quite as precise where the snorkel follows the contours of the fender at the front, but I'm getting quite nit-picky. Material seems to be the same plastics. Time will tell if this one has problems with UV exposure and fading or cracking, but I doubt it. So with the exception of needing to do some double-checking of measurements I'm very please with the purchase.

The snorkel really compliments the new hod scoop! So where did you get the scoop, is it a Lund by chance?

cheap "pre-filter" tip: Cut a piece of black mesh window screen and place it behind the plastic grill of your snorkel intake. Cut it just a little bit oversized for the opening, remove grill, insert mesh, replace grill, trim as necessary. Keeps the bugs/leaves/acorns/etc. out of the intake without restricting much air flow.

I'm planning on pulling my fenders to run new wires through the door jam. Might have to put one of these on whilst it's off.

Quick TIP:

many people have asked me what is that thing on top of your snorkels. I say it is a paper towel dispenser. but in all reality it is a Donaldson Top spin pre filter part# number H002426

"Separates up to 85% of incoming contaminant (per ISO 5011/SAE J726) Greatly extends air filter life Reduces air filter usage Lowers cost per operating hour Automatically ejects mixed debris Separates more than 99% of particles 20 micron and larger"

great for extreme dusty conditions. I chose this one as it fits best for ARB and it is maintenance free unlike the other ones where you have to empty the bowl.

this has at least doubled my air filter change interval.

OK, snorkel showed up on my doorstep today, as did the mushroom hat topper for it. BTW, the topper was shipped from Malaysia on June 2nd, its June 4th !!!!!! Anyhow, my initial impression of this snorkel is that it does not feel cheap. In fact it feels like a pretty quality unit. I'm going to set it in the parts bin limbo for now until the rest of the bodywork is done.

Picked up mine today at their warehouse. Nice folks. See some cheap Cree light as well. I may go back to them for their waterproof luggage bag for the Roofrack. Looks very well made so far.

I would never buy a Chinese snorkel. Not a smart move at all.
1.Chinese product for the most part has crap customer care.
2.Chinese product has a tendency to switch up or disappear all together.
3.I've personally seen Chinese plastic product change color due to UV light.
4.Your going to be drilling holes in your fender. Why would you risk needing to replace a fender cause some Chinese snorkel has a terrible stencil?
5.The ARB snorkel cost a bit more only due to quality care, customer care and a high quality product.

My 2 cents.

Customer care? Who buys a snorkel for customer care? What's ARB going to tell you after you cut a hole in your bumper that a "Chinese" company wouldn't? It's pretty ridiculous to pay $400 for a product when there is a $70 product that does the EXACT same thing. I know ARB makes very quality stuff but come on, it's just plastic.
