Snapping the rear, lower shock bolts seems to be a fairly common problem in the rust belt. I had PB'd mine for 5 days prior to installing my 30mm MAF spring spacers. DS came out fine but I did snap off the PS bolt. EZ-out also snapped off () so I decided to drill it out (Dremel Tungsten bit) and just weld a threaded stud in the remaining cavity. I could have tapped it but did not a have a tap that large so decided to take a different approach. YMMV.

I'm only posting this to create a searchable, possible solution to a broken rear, lower shock mount bolt to help others, not to start any arguments on right/wrong way to fix things.

Nice repair!

The band clamp didn't do the trick?

:p

You know, surprisingly, the clamp held remarkably well for the two days it was on there. I like the new fix better though. I actually know a few people that would have called the clamp a great fix and been very happy with it. :hillbilly:
