Ok, so I have been throwing around the idea of putting a stove insert into our current Fireplace. Based on what I have gathered, we have what is referred to as a Zero Clearance Fireplace. It appears that provided I can find a stove to fit inside the firebox, then I can make this happen. My biggest question is does this sound correct? I am also understanding that my 8" chimney pipe will need to be sleeved with a 6" liner to operate correctly, sound right?
Most of this I think I can do, other than the installation of the liner pipe and insulation that I have read I may need. Am I missing anything? I am not looking for a high dollar insert, just a decent little unit that will be more efficient and keep more heat in the house instead of drawing it all up the chimney.
Thanks,
Matt
