SLEE 200 Bumper Photos...! *UPDATE!*

I know the Slee carrier position can be adjusted up and down... I wonder where the ones in the photos are mounted within the range...?

I relocated mine a while back. You could do it in the same fashion. Pictured is the final mounting location and the unobstructed view. Paver Driveway is my moms, i know its awesome. Im sure if you want Christos crew can relocate your camera for you in no time.

It looks like your camera was re-mounted upside down....or is that not the case? I was wondering if it was - how were you able to flip the image to correct for that?

I like the rearview camera in my 2013, but it is my first vehicle with a rearview camera.

I find the front camera very hard to use, due to the distortion.

OK, guess it is time to get some more info out there. Pricing is probably first. The bumper is listed at retail for $3750 and we are offering a $300 introduction discount for the first 10 sold.

We have a batch of 10 coming on, but quite a few of them are already allocated to builds we are doing in-house. For obvious reasons, we are trying to do as many local builds first before we ship the bumper for DIY installs.

What do you get?

-Bumper with tire carrier and ladder.
-Hi-Lift mount.
-Rigid Ignite backup lights
-Additional marker / indicator / brake lights
-Grommets for park sensor installation
-Mounting hardware for 4 Gallon can on tire carrier
-Gas struts on both swing outs for open/close assist and hold-open feature
-Custom designed latch for one-handed latch/pin operation and ergonomic leverage angle
-Dozens of attachment points/holes to allow user customization.
-License Plate relocation/lighting

and obviously all new installation hardware.

Camera Relocate

We are looking at what we can do on this. The issue is obviously with the vehicles with the 360 degree views / lines for backup that require the camera to be in a specific location. Right now the camera view is between the tire carrier and ladder. Without the optional Rotopax mount or Jerry can holder it is not bad. Not ideal, but livable.

As for the LX, we will do a build post on that later. In short, stock AHC with tires that rub :)

Here is a shot of the bumper with the optional jerry can basket installed.

Rotopax 4 Gallon mounted on the tire mount. We are also developing a Maxtrax mounting bracket that will be optional. The space can accommodate two Maxtrax

Both carriers open. The questions" re: what is the doo-hickie on the can carrier, yes that was for a flag.

Twinkies! Closer truck was a pre-prodution bumper with a different ladder. This also shows that on @Tremek truck the tire was installed in the highest location. For those worried about visibility it could be lowered. Also shows that the tire mount portion can be removed and a 2nd jerry can basket can be run in that location.

Dead on rear shot showing lights and clearance. All marker / indicator and brake lights are duplicated in the LED lights in the bumper.

Put me on the list for the DIY batch!

Chiming in here to echo that the bumper itself is VERY nice. As I continue to look over certain details of the unit I'm just very impressed at how absolutely solid it is, how good the hinge mechanisms function, etc. Disclaimer, this is not a paid endorsement, it's just a really nice piece of kit. :)

This is a really nice bumper. Very functional, looks awesome, I'm sure as well made as can be.

But...it's literally twice what the ARB rear costs...Plus some. Edit: so not twice. Let's say $1k more for discussions sake.

It's as much as my front armor, rear armor and winch cost (total) on my 100. Am I the only one thinking this way? I have a 200 sitting in the garage ready to build and can't be the only one iffy on spending $6k on bumpers alone, right??

Not sure where you're getting your numbers,
but you are way...waaaay off on ARB price.

To get ARB's closest equivalent, the bumper assembly alone costs close to $1700--to which you must either add blanks, or attachments:
-Add a tire carrier = $600+
-Add a SINGLE jerry can holder = about $530.

That totals $2830 for the ARB. But...

*That's with no Hi-lift mount...which it is not built to accommodate.
*No ladder...
*No included 4 gallon rotopax mount

True, the Slee 3-Jerry-can basket is extra...but it already includes mounting hardware for a 4 Gallon Rotopax even if you choose to skip the basket.

As for strength, there really is no comparison.
Strength & durability is difficult to put a dollar figure on, but it is worth a great deal to those who need it.

This is certainly not a cheap bumper--but before you say things like
"Twice what ARB costs...plus some..." -you might wanna break out a calculator. ;)

Ok. So maybe $1k more than ARB. But you can't get into a Slee at the low entry point and add on like with an arb. You gotta start up top. And for the record the arb isnt the best looking/functional product they've ever released.

I'm not trying to be anti Slee at all. It's nice. I like it. Just stating a fact. That it's expensive. Really all I was saying. Inflation I guess.

I think you're saying what we're all thinking, but then again it's not really worth saying as it's a premium product for a premium car. None of us are in this because it's cheap. Everyone would agree, there are plenty of other platforms that would be way more cost effective. Some vendors that offer somewhat cheaper rear options for the 200. More cheap options will likely come as the platform ages. Likely none that will be as nice as the Slee product.

You're not anti anything. :)

But seriously, if you want 19 gallons of liquid capacity...ARB offers 5.
If you want a ladder? Pony up elsewhere.
If you want a Hi-Lift mounted? Better look at a roof rack, or other solution.
If you'd like to be able to mount other stuff to various mount points, this works.

If you need Rock-Dropping strength?
-Not sure where else you could look outside of a custom job.

Honestly though, we all have different needs.
-If a Tacoma will do everything you want, no need to drop $ on a Tundra.

This is a bumper that answers certain needs.
If you need it? An extra 1K isn't all that extravagant.

Sorry you couldn't resist what? Calling me a hillbilly? Or a dumbass? Which one?

I asked a buddy what he paid for his ARB. He obviously gave me bumper only price. Turns out you are right. Swings added puts it up higher. Made a mistake. Owned up to it. Sue me.

I've literally been all over the country in my 100. Put it in a lot of tight spots. In a lot of water. Down trails that resulted in a nasty custom paint job. USED it. Been glad I had my front and rear bumpers for sure. But...we aren't rock crawling these things. They aren't buggies with full hydro steer and roll cages. Hell I saw where you went on a helluva climb/trail and made it up just fine...sans $4k bumper.

Point is...none of us NEED this stuff. We want this stuff. These are play things. Hobbies. And STARTING a product at $1k over where your competition finishes is a gutsy move.

My original point remains. That's a lotta jack.

I was really just responding to the statement it was more than twice the ARB.
It is actually only about 29% more even WITH the basket. That's all.
