SLEE 200 Bumper Photos...! *UPDATE!*

Talked to Amory about their LX and running 35s in Moab, he basically said "don't do it haha..." evidently even after trimming and KDSS relocation they may still have some rubbing. I know they took on Hells and a few others though so must not be detrimental.

No KDSS clearance issues to worry about on the LX. Because of that, squeezing a 35x12.5 (wider tire) might be easier on an LX than LC.

We need more pics of Slee's LX!

I would like to see pics of 35's on an LX as well. I asked slee about it before I bought my tires and he said don't do 35's they rub like crazy... They said if i am up for experimenting go with 34's.... so i got 34'' RG's. I always will want bigger for looks but I do love my setup now for the everyday.

Looking at the fitment, I'd bet he has a set of wheel spacers on those rock warriors. Can't really see the sway bar where it would rub, but looks like it does just catch it?

kreitan, love that pic. Actually, love all your pics.

That LX just says don't mess with me all over.

That LX pic must be old as he doesn't have RWs on it anymore - see the Icon pics above.

Yah its from last summer.

Got a chance to see this in person at cruise Moab!
Amazing and impressive work as always. Good work slee!

@kreiten is the pics guy. He's a wizard with a camera.

Favor request:

Would you mind measuring the tire as it sits on your truck front edge to rear? (Eliminating the "squash-factor due to weight/air pressure)? I'm really curious to compare it's on-truck measurements with my current tire measure the same way.

If you could...would be much appreciated.

I just measured side to side and at 39psi they measure right at 34" perhaps just slightly less at 33.9" but the difference is negligible. I had these next to the worn 35s I took off, and these were the same height but 1" narrower and about 5 pounds lighter. I'm very pleased with them.

Thank you @mcgaskins!

Finally a TRUE 34"! It is so frustrating to guess...as the actual, mounted measurements can be so very different than unmounted specs and other factors. I think you just convinced me to forego 35s and make those my next tire. That's nearly a full 2 inches over my 285/70/17 KO2's, which really just barely clear 32".

Few more questions:
-Have you re-geared (I don't see that in your sig)? Or are you running stock gears? If stock, how would you describe shifting issues on inclines/hills, etc.?

-With your 35s now removed, can you tell whether you actually NEED the KDSS relocation bracket with these 34's? -Or are they only on there because you formerly had 35's?

Thanks again,

Markuson

I don't want to derail this thread too much, but I don't think the KDSS relocation is necessary with these tires (I could be wrong though). I only did it for the 35s before, and these don't rub anywhere. I haven't regeared and don't really feel the need to with these specific tires. If I went with anything heavier, I would definitely regear. For the biggest factor that made me consider was the added weight from the sliders and the skid plates. That seemed to change the behavior more than the lift, tires, rack, bumpers, etc., so if you're already used to that effect you'll notice the tires less. We live at 5300' and consistently drive to the mountains including the Moab trip, and I feel no need to regear although if I was to add lockers, bigger/heavier tires, or anything else I'd regear and do ARB lockers at the same time. Shoot me a PM if you want more info so this thread remains more about the sweet new bumper :)

Mission Accomplished - picked up the truck from Slee today, very happy with the results. Will post more pics later, but here's a few:

Another customer's awesome truck was parked outside - I grabbed a quick pic of his versus mine (my truck's rear bumper is a pre-production model and you can see the ladder/left mount is 1 'rung' shorter):

The basket Slee mounted to the other guy's truck is definitely something I'll be picking up:

So are you on stock suspension? If so, did you change springs in back for the additional weight?

Yes currently on stock suspension, will probably go BP51s or the like later in the year. Haven't changed anything yet.

As my kids would say.....I'm totally Jelly (jealous)!

No tricks, my unit on the right is a pre-production model, and the production model (installed on the left truck) is full height.

I'll grab some photos of the clearance underneath and also try and get @Utah200 some measurements from the hitch out, later today.
