I’ve have been thinking about a possible upgrade for the headliner. I’ll be installing heat shielding and sound deadening and the factory bow-style headliner can be a real hassle to work with.

That got me wondering: what if there were a one-piece molded headliner available for the 60/62 Series—something more like what Toyota did with the 80 Series and beyond?

I want to take a quick pulse from the community:

Would you be interested in a molded one-piece headliner as an upgrade to the stock bow-style setup?

This is just a yes/no question at this stage, I can’t answer the following:

A few important notes:
  • I don’t have concept drawings yet, so you’ll have to use your imagination
  • What process (though 3D scanning is likely the most practical route)
  • I’ve looked into using a donor roof to create a mold, but the quotes I’ve received are just not realistic
  • The goal would be a clean, OEM+ look—something along the lines of a 2025 LC79 headliner, not the exposed roof ribs like in a Troopy.
Appreciate any early feedback—just looking to see if there’s community interest before investigating further.
