Im wanting to see some saginaw conversion pics has anyone done a triple u joint to have more room on small/big block v8 conversions? (angling to/outside frame rail and back inside frame rail)

Here is the picture I have of my steering setup (could shoot some others for you if needed). A joint at the base of the column, one about 10 inches or so down, a Heim joint as a support bearing, and another joint at the box. Is that the setup you are looking for? I used all flaming river stuff, and couldn't be happier. Pretty easy to design, but I didn't have to go too far around anything. Let me know, I'd be happy to line you out.

Subscribed! I was actually going to post up this same question this morning. I'm going to be redoing my PO's poor attempt at a Saginaw conversion. The second post in this thread shows what I'm currently dealing with. Note the shaft rubbing on the Ram's Horn manifold.

I think, with Ram's Horns or Hooker Block Hugger Headers, people have been able to run a straight shaft from the steering wheel to the box out on the frame horn without clearance issues. I'm hoping relocating the box will allow me to do the same. If that doesn't cut it though, I might have to run a 3rd joint in the shaft.

Does this affect steering sensitivity or feel at all?

Eager to see some more pictures!

SBC with block huggers there is about 2" of clearance between headers and steering shaft

Nice pictures, any chance that you have one if the lower heim joint and where it's attached? I think a three piece solution is in my future. Thanks!

JIm,
Do you have any more pictures of this set-up. I'm running into clearance issues of my own? I'd like to see pics from the firewall to the steering box if you could?
thanx,
Craig

Nice! That is pretty tight as well. I may have to end up putting a heim joint in mine. I'm hoping to avoid that, but I may have no choice.
