Not mine, but my favorite...

The front bumper was fashioned after the ARB, but is a lot stronger. I have seen more than one truck dissabled due to a dear strike. I figured this would help. A friend of mine built this for me.

The rear bumper was built by AJ @ Bent Up. It has a swing out with highlift jack holder and fuel cans. Also has quarter protection and can double as an air tank.

A bit off topic but a close friend of mine fabbed up this trans protection plate as the stock one is a bit on the weak side and H55's are not cheap so I wanted it protected well!

i love that cb mount!!!!

I would want to have this smooth, shining, polished bumper for my Sequoia. You really did a nice work on your front bumpers. I've seen one in an online shop(see Replacement Toyota Truck Bumper). I'm still not sure if I'll give it a shot but it is worth the price.

custom built

Here is mine: from $80 in steel...most of it from 1/4 and 5/16 I-beam & 3/8 Angle. Tubing is from my well 1 1/4 Sched 40.

Front is 4" channel.

Top plate is 1/4 steel.

I't's a bit overkill, but I don't think it will ever bend.

I´m a bit weight conscious so I made mine from 2.5mm sheetmetal.
Front:

The connection there is fastened to the frame for strength for when I mount a hitch in it.

with some extra fuel:

Rear:

They have taken quite a beating over the years but still hold up real good

Here are my last two. Cutting the quarters made it time for something lighter with lots of clearance.

There are some really good ideas in this thread. I built three bumpers so far, a 40, a60, a cherokee and need to do another 60. All of mine turned out to heavy. I really wonder if a well mad angle iron frame with a light skin might not be a good route to go. I need to add the bambi basher as well because of all the deer in my part of the country but still want less weight. That might be the answer.ideas?, no winch mount beaded, just a receiver hitch. Also want to do a rear with a swing out for essentials, do not want to have a top rack.

Looking at front ideas. I like the simple “shorty” style without any damage multipliers. Also concerned about weight of a big beast of a bumper up front.

Wondering how many times the “rookiller” style has saved-a-60?

If you hit a deer just right, it could help. It seems to be stout enough without being too stout.

I can vouch for the quality of 4Plus, I have a front and rear on my hunting truck and a rear on another 60 with an ARB up front. I wish I had gone with 4Plus instead of ARB on the front of the other truck too, 4Plus has much better quality and strength. The owner Dave Gore is a great guy to deal with.

I see some real strange stuff around here especially out of Wyoming what they do is They’ll actually put a pipe frame over the entire front of their vehicle clear back almost to the windshield lays down kind of an angle over their hood weird I suppose it saves you but weird... I’ll look at the 4Plus
