Idaho Savage
GOLD Star
Man, I'm not one to do this very often but I feel like we are really fortunate to have shops for our rigs where you can drive confidently from states away and KNOW they're going to nail it.
I ordered a TJM bumper to replace my ARB snout nosed Sahara from Bryce at Cruiser Outfitters. I hated the aesthetic of that ARB and we run bull bars on nearly every vehicle in our stable due to the amount of elk and deer here.
The old ARB
Bryce asked several questions, confirmed, reconfirmed, etc. We determined that we could relocate the Xeon winch controller as it needs to be accessible to pair with the remote. This would require some light but custom fabrication and improvisation. We also ordered some ARB Solis lights. At one point Bryce realized we had had a miscommunication and corrected the order. They are very careful.
Now most shops would inspire anxiety...did they order the right parts? Did they order all the parts? Will the work be clean? What about wiring? I had ordered plenty from Cruiser Outfitters but had never seen their shop.
I drove my 200 from Idaho and they had 1.5 days before I absolutely needed it back. Needless to say, they nailed every part of it. The winch mount is fantastic...I can now stick my finger in a hole in the plastic cowl and the pairing button is right there.
Small hole directly over the remote pairing button.
The ARBs are wired into my headlights but can be dimmed right by the steering column.
And the bumper looks much better. With my permission, they bored out the grill to keep the ARB lights low profile.
This whole set up is SOOOO much more low profile.
Fisheye weird garage pic.
I didn't catch the installer's name but he was both professional and very passionate which was fantastic, and a great communicator, calling me with updates and questions while it was in the shop.
Big props to Cruiser Outfitters. I've now had them and Slee work on this rig and I'd trust either one to do flawless, A+ work.
I'll take some more, normal photos tomorrow in the daylight for anyone interested in the TJM.
