not mine just using for example and year ref so you can find it on your side of the pond in a breakers yard. Since you also have patent parts places over there that might be a good place to look too.

This is the one that is up down, matches the OAK perfectly and fits in the coin slots on the LC

Those are perfect for the LX because the connection is in the lower dash IIRC, should plug right up.

There are two blanks in the lower center dash either side of the rear heater switch in the LX, it would be great if the seat harness/connectors are behind the dash at this location. Do you know if this is the case?

I think they are there, don't have an lx but when I was doing the research for the cruiser I remember reading on mud that the lx is wired there. Wouldn't be too hard to pull the panel and look

That makes sense since the sub is in the arm rest console in the LX

I have mine mounted near the Dimmer switch...



but they're used as front and rear winch control

Well it took a while but I've got them, they just turned up yesterday from Dave @ Japan4x4. It was indeed the up/down ones that I wanted and that's what Dave got for me. Many thanks to everyone for their help and replies/pictures etc it's much appreciated. Steve

They are not cheap but they are the correct part

You can buy the connector and the wires to make your own pigtail. But the most cost effective way to do it is to go to the junkyard with the switches and find some connectors that fit. Then you may have to rearrange the wires a bit but it's not too difficult.

Hmmm - I wonder why the harness on the seat side drops the two wires needed to run the OEM heaters? Does anyone know if there are wiring connecters within the seat that are not used? From looking at diagrams there should be two 2 pin connectors and one 3 pin connector inside the seat that the factory heater elements plug into. Anyone seen these?

Once you plug the heated seat switches into the two unused plugs under the center console, where do those terminate? Under the seat hopefully?

Used ES300 swithes are easiest to come by. Junkyard or Ebay. Otherwise try Googling switch numbers from Waldo2 above and/or the email he provided. Why do people need so much handholding?

I looked online, had some difficulty on ebay. 80 bucks per switch for es300 switch. My main question was related to the jdm switches from japan. These seem to be getting harder to come by. All the sites i could find with jdm parts numbers said no longer available. I have not seen many posts related to steadman in Japan for parts recently. Looks like the best way is the make your own. I am going to check a pick and pull soon to see if i can find them, then order the remaining parts needed. No need to make snide comments about hand holding, my question was simply about sources. I was unsure if a JDM source as above in this thread was still available or if a pick and pull was the only option. Why do some people feel the need to go through life with a chip on their shoulder?
