Has anyone ever dyed a seat cover? I have a bestop seat cover for my rear seat, it is greay and my font seats are black. Thanks, Chuck

I have not used any myself, but plan on trying it on my seats when I get to the point of re-installing them. I have a yellow section down the middle of the seats, and I want them to be all black. A guy in my office that works on old corvettes said it works pretty good. The spray kind that you can buy at like PepBoys or the like. It is some kind of vinyl dye in a spray can. Works like spray paint according to my buddy.

If you become adventurous enought to try it, please post some pics. I would love to hear an actual testimonial.

Later,
Chris

i remember getting a black backside after my buddy did his seats. You might test spray and see how it bleeds on a piece of scrap.

The cover is a canvas material so I dont know if a spray will work as well, I plan on giving it a try, I will take some before and after pics.

Also I hear they make some sort of sealer to use after you dye it to keep it from wearing off, I have called a few upholstry shops in my area and nobody has heard of such a thing, so if anyone knows about the sealer please let me know.
