Yeah let me know what you do, if anything for the support bracket because the Axis Turbo Outlet is the same. Mine doesn't reach the mounting hole as well. Looking at the Cummins site where you got yours looks like the same identical part. I'm not sure if the added support is necessary being that the gallon bucket sized catalytic converter (that weighted a ton) has been deleted. I plan on installing an exhaust flex attachment to the outlet and then hanger all my 2" or 2.5" exhaust piping. So I'm hoping outlet brace wont be needed.
Pretty straightforward piece. Cut off existing hole piece, weld new on on. Hour job probably, more support for exhaust cant be bad.

Really? So your no longer a miner, guess I shouldn't have bought into that crypto currency fad after all.

Well congrats on your good fortune. Your lucky my wife would run me off if I hung around the house all day.

Well congratulations anyway I know you were hoping for that. Post some pics when you get caught up looking forward to see how things are going.

OK, to satisfy @amico!

A lot has happened since I updated. I am now "retired". Not forever but for a few months at least. The upshot is that I am now a full time Land Cruiser hobbyist!

WHen I started putting the h55 and split case together there was a clearance problem. There wasn't enough space to fit the last piece on after the PTO gear (forget what it was, I think the bearing in the case half. Lots of thanks to @OTRAMM his youtube videos are excellent!

@orangefj45 helped me out with some trouble shooting, asking if the 5 speed gears were free, the answer was no! So I took the tcase off and checked in the trans and the front synchro was jammed.

20191010_110755.webp

So that meant 1st and 4th? were locked together, whichever gears, it was a no bueno.

I ended up taking it to a local trans shop and $600 later it was all fixed. Turns out the BJ60 shaft had a shoulder that the FJ shaft did not have, so the trans shop made a shim to correct the 90 thousandths clearance on the shaft!!!

Meanwhile my lights from Aus came, they are Narvas and very similar to FJ taillights but full LED!

Got my steering wheel installed:

As @amico knows, the exhaust flange support bracket that comes with the R2.8 only works with the DPF exhaust flange, so I had to fab one to work with mine. These "tight clearance" exhaust flanges, ie DPF delete are available from Cummins for $30.

Also helped me convince @amico 's wife to let him buy a plasma cutter, such a useful tool!!!

And then the plumbing started. Let me tell you, this is a lot of work and figuring and ordering and researching!!!

This is the back of the oil cooler, where the remote filter lines come out of.

20191015_104101.webp

I had to figure out where I was going to put the remote oil filter.

Air conditioning compressor bracket came in from Repowertoy, on the cummins repower forum.

It allows you to use a "common" compressor vs the Cummins one, which requires the "Megabracket"
20191015_175424.webp

This is where I hid my fuel filter, just above the fender on the driver's side cowl. I had to add a spacer piece to level things out for the bracket because the cowl has stampings in that area. I used weld nuts on the inside of the cab to secure them. The only wrinkle with this is I need 2 90 degree elbows for the filter but the kit only comes with 2 (also need one to go to the pump). I was back and forth with cummins on this for weeks, finally got the part numbers and they are ordered (along with a couple of oil filters for my 6.7l powerstroke, apparently fleetguard (Cummins) are the best).

20191015_204835.webp

I didn't realize at first but I was able to have both lines go in the same side, so I had to change them, move the levelling plate and weld new weldnuts, but much more space to get filter out now.

This is my solution to the oil filter. I had a local hydraulic shop make me two pipes that 180 my filter lines and I have mounted the filter in my bumper under the winch plate.

Don't grind your fingertip!

Was grinding at edge of welding table, put grinder down, grinder started falling off bench and I grabbed for it, found my way into the guard. D'oh.

Got the stereo installed. This is a Pioneer single DIN that folds out into a 7" screen. Got some speakers hooked up and played some tunes for Mumma.

Elbows/adapters. Pegasus Racing is an awesome source for this stuff.

I decided to go with the Advance Adapters twin stick kit. This thing is major DIY, a lot more than I was expecting but I actually appreciate that, it means I can put the shifters exactly where I want them.

Got a good deal on a lightly used set of fenders from EBI Cruisers in Port Coquitlam. Someone "overloved" the passenger one but they both have the original ecoat and the Toyota stickers on them!

This is the correct rear bearing for the H55/split case combo. The one I was given was not, this was part of the problem with my transmission. And a piece of pepperoni.
20191122_171909.webp

This is what it took for me to get the first bearing on. This pipe was heavy wall and pristine before I started putting the bearing on.

Oddly enough, the correct one slid on with barely any help from the press.

I had a hard time figuring out the turn signal wiring, my original wiring didn't match the new signal I bought.

In my harness the red with white stripe is the power to the signal, in the signal there isn't one!

I figured it out with my multimeter, but it's weird.

Dakota BIMs (these are the expansion modules for compass/external temp, EGT/head temp sensor, boost sensor.

I plan to velcro most of these modules in place. These are velcroed to SS, which will be velcroed in place.
