Also, I highly suggest cleaning out that rocker arm shaft... it's a gross job but it makes a huge difference in oil flow... plus you're in there and let's be honest, you really want to smell like an oil refinery!
Yeah, I saw you did that and was going to do the same. My uncle owns a powder coat shop so I was going to give it to him and have him put it in the oven and cook off as much soot as possible then possibly clean with gas or some other oil cutting agent. I will let you know how it goes. Thanks for the great write up on the seal replacement.

Clean and ready to have the engine and trans plucked out.

Nice work...

But where did the red carpet go? :)

The furniture dollies wouldn't roll very well on the carpet.

I'm worried the whole project is going downhill now because of this. ;)
That makes sense...

Isn‘t downhill the easy side of the hill? Like “it’s all downhill from here”... :)

I have a feeling you won’t be suffering from scope-creep with this project. You seem to be a left side of the brain type, whereas I myself am superb at starting projects. Many many projects.

I don’t think you’re too far away from me ( I’m down here in Salem) so maybe when my current build is complete we could meet up at a cars n coffee or something.
Would love to see this beauty up close...

That sounds awesome! We are in Bend all the time. 🤘🤘

You’re a mighty dedicated ‘rabbit-holder’ ! 🤣

*Some extra strength support beams in your garage for the heavy lifting?

Been following your build thread and have found it inspirational. You've done an amazing job not only restoring Scout but also sharing along the way useful information that is helpful to others tackling similar projects. Keep up the awesome work.
Thanks so much! I hope to be providing some useful info. This community of knowledge sharing is so amazing. Thank you to all of the great Mud members before me who shared their knowledge.
