What happened to the mountains?

Chris and I are about six hours from my place.
Quite the trip this year.

2200 miles on the Clustertruck (4300 if you count the piss missile run to get the camp trailer out ahead of time)
750 miles on the 40 and Hilux each. Chris and I guesstimated 250-300 of that was pavement. The rest aired down.
A couple nights camping in some really great spots between Creede and Silverton
One campground eviction
And good times with friends I don't see nearly enough. Except Chris, I see him all the time.

Learned a couple things this year. The biggest being that my camp trailer will benefit from brakes. There were a few times where I was getting pushed around when going downhill. Nothing that scary, but enough to make me think it'd be a good idea to add a controller to the 40, and drums to the trailer.

Gearing. 3:1 gears in the transfer case make terrain so much easier. That should've been improvement #1

My exhaust. 😠 It's pointed at the ground, and with the dry conditions, super annoying. I looked like a battalion of Rommel's tanks cutting across Tunisia. I'm dreading the attempt at getting the interior clean again.

Very few issues.
Lost my right turn signal, which is likely a ground issue. Downside of urea coating everything and light fixtures grounding through the body.
Then I lost my left turn signal, my guess is the same issue. Might be the flasher too. We'll see.
Gauge cluster lost signal to the fuel level sender. Hopefully it's a loose connection at the gauges. Pulling the seat is a pain on the passenger side.
The fitting in my front differential housing kept coming loose and I'd lose the front locker.

All very minor things. I'll take it.

Averaged over 17 miles per gallon over ~650 miles. Most of the time it could manage posted speed limits. I was not in a hurry. The journey IS the destination.
