I don't know about other people, but there's usually at least 3 things wrong with my 80 at any given time. 🤣

I was on that 2 weeks ago, it was bs
I don’t want anyone to freak out but I ran the Rubicon Trail few weeks ago and didn’t do anything but wash it and she’s good to go.
Few weeks before the was Sand hollow & Moab back to back.
Some of the hardest most technical trails in the west. Not a single issue 😜
Must be all that flat land beating up your 80 Carl 😂🤣

Real time help needed. I drove through some awful wind and rain and the soft top ripped all the way up the right. Anyone have the great ideas forreadily available heavy duty thread… I need sailcloth thread. Maybe some heavy duty sewing needles and rag fishing from the local Walmart? or do I just gorilla tape it?

@smiledochill is busy driving at the moment, but he says gorilla tape may leave a permanent stain on the cloth. He has heavy needle and heavy thread if you can make it to camp.

Don’t gorilla tape it the glue is tenacious and you won’t be able to get it off later.

I'm going with age, miles, and a mentally handicapped previous owner. My 80 is far from a good example.

I could eradicate a few getting rid of the Toyota engine management and fully desmogging the thing. At least one more if I got rid of the moronic awd tcase.

She's got some gremlins.

I’m pretty sure I have the needles and waxed thread I used for sale repair in Hawaii here in Arvada

Second, I’m a surgeon in real life. I was going to bring a whole suture kit with me just in case, but I was like, no, leave work at home.

Come down I-25 and I’ll see what I have.

(One of the host partners was an ophthalmologist. Did a lot of eye surgery (LASIK, RK, some cornea stuff).

She regularly stuck her thumb with the needle. IJS..

We made it to Ouray 😊
Decided to treat ourselves to dinner and margaritas 😍

A lot of good responses Galen, but I’m still seeing a missed opportunity for a straightforward Duct tape fix here. The remnants of the adhesive will be part of the story once the proper repair occurs (speaking as a surgeon, albeit one from East Texas…)
