General question for the group…not a dig but curious. Why are so many people towing their 80’s and 60’s? I sort of understand towing a 40 as long distance might not be so comfortable.
Easy answer see the camper. It’s super comfortable gets the same mileage as a loaded 80.
If I break the 80, I just need to get it on the trailer😎

I don't know about other people, but there's usually at least 3 things wrong with my 80 at any given time. 🤣

Limon, CO-the road from KS line to here has to be some of the worst in the country.

Real time help needed. I drove through some awful wind and rain and the soft top ripped all the way up the right. Anyone have the great ideas forreadily available heavy duty thread… I need sailcloth thread. Maybe some heavy duty sewing needles and rag fishing from the local Walmart? or do I just gorilla tape it?

I have a small spool of braided 40 lb fishing line as well as 1mm micro paracord. Don't know about a needle large enough to see with it though? The heavy Kevlar line or bank line and a sail needle should be available at walmart etc.

I'm 1/2 way there, still need to pack. Anyone need anything picked up from Classic Cruisers? I'm 30 mins away with plenty of space still.

I’m in the Greeley Walmart now. I’ll explore.

Two humorous things: when I was redoing my 80 steering wheel, I bought something like 19,000 feet of braided line that turned out to be way too thin for the steering wheel unfortunately, now that’s about 900 miles away.

Second, I’m a surgeon in real life. I was going to bring a whole suture kit with me just in case, but I was like, no, leave work at home.
