Better round up a hub Unless your really good and lucky at stud removal. I dont think I have ever gotten the dowel pins out after they broke. I have over size dowel pins if you need to drill them out . As always I have everything to fix it but for the hub . Thats prob a non us part at that. Or do you have a 80 axle under it ?
I use my stud gun for pulling body panels on those pesky dowel pins, just sheard all of mine earlier this month on Poughkeepsie. Have new 79 series hubs with the bigger OEM 10mm studs and dowels ready to go on when I get back

Waiting in line at a salvage yard to get a used compressor for the Ford since those miserable SOBs can't build a pickup that'll last all the way to an oil change without failing. 🤣

I thought the Ford manual suggested that you change the compressor with every oil change.

Gotcha. I was kidding, but I wouldn’t bring a rig that I didn’t feel mostly confident in.
Don’t want to put anyone (or myself) in any sort of situation knowingly.

I’m litmus testing my rig at 10/11k leading up to SAS. In fact I’m on yet another shakedown trip on The Enchanted Circle grabbing lunch in Red River.

I’ll be driving to Ouray from Angel Fire so I’ll have plenty of chances for sh!t to go south while I’m heading north.
When you heading out? We leave Sun AM from just south Santa are and going up through Pagosa…

Safe travels Chris and to all starting their journeys. Remember that if you run into trouble there is a whole network of good Cruiser people across all parts of this country of ours. Between Mud folks and SAS Alumni we can usually get someone back in order reasonably quickly.
Looking forward to seeing you Yahoo's in less than a week.
Casey...

Love them afternoon monsoons keeps the dust down on the trail..

Sorry to hear this Roger. Thanks for the heads up.

I’ll leave Angel Fire by noon I’m guessing.
Depends on when the convoy gets to Alamosa.

The trip through Pagosa is definitely prettier but I’m looking forward to joining the TX caravan.

You could always go North of Questa and catch us in the thriving metropolis of Ft Garland.

Anybody have a 60 Series alternator they want to part with? Looking to buy one as a spare and figured one of y’all 60 people had one you could bring to Ouray.

I just wrapped up a dual battery system install and want to make sure I have a spare alt since there’s more stress on this one now. I’ve got a couple NOS regulators, so really just looking for a good alternator. Thanks!
