Question for you Casey @POTATO LAUNCHER:

Is there a place for those of us who are on the waitlist to gauge the likelihood of getting in?

Thanks,
Ian
The waitlist is maintained in order as we receive requests. When a spot opens up @80Lady will reach out to you through e-mail and or text. We give 24 hrs to hear back from them. If no response we will move to the next in line. Typically we see a drop in the next few months due to vacation request denials and life in general. I can say that at this point we have at least 30 on the waitlist.
@ThatKOAGuy is holding the SAS area at KOA reserved for us until March 31st. After that the general public will have access to our area. Jeff has been extremely accommodating with the area we need for us to all be together.
So don't give up, usually spots will open up.

If you have been following this thread @ThatKOAGuy has been offering a generous discount for someone willing to give up their cabin reservation to accommodate a special need. One of our longtime SAS Alumni and fellow 40 owners passed last fall unexpectedly. SAS is a family and community based gathering and we want to honor him and his family this year. We will do a 40 run honoring him with a small celebration on his favorite trail.
The need for the cabin is for her to be comfortable and on site as she helps behind the scenes and at the main tent each year.
So please, if someone is willing to offer their cabin reservation to make this happen we would truly appreciate it.
On top of the huge discount KOA is offering for this slight inconvenience, SAS will donate 100 raffle tickets to the person willing to help us help her.
Thank you all for making this community and gathering one of my favorite things all year.

We have a very long waiting list this year....as of now I believe we're at about 45, but we usually make it quite a ways through the list. I promise I'm watching and will be working through the list!

Thank you so much. I guess there is no way to know where one (me) is at on the list? Solely to gauge the likelihood of getting a spot.

Thanks for all your hard work!

Ian

Right now, we are approaching the last hours of day one hundred and sixty six until Solid Axle Summit Eight
It's truly unbelievable how fast it comes back around every year. Great things are afoot at the Circle K, once again, thanks to our fantastic sponsors and all of you who pitch in behind the scenes to help make it all happen. Special thanks to @ThatKOAGuy for your engagement this year. We appreciate it, my friend.

Corkscrew is a blast to descend, especially the bottom section. It's almost like a track with whoop sections and berm-like corners. Rory and I bombed up Mineral Creek late one afternoon last year to rescue an 80 with a damaged radiator at the top of Poughkeepsie. Hooked up a tow strap and pulled him up to the top of Corkscrew and then back down to the bottom. Luckily the weather cooperated and it actually went much smoother and quicker than either of us expected.

Cork screw is a great pass for doing recuses off the loop. I really like it after a long day of bouncing around its a nice smooth ride out.. Red mountain is pretty cool to explore ..

Thanks Casey… bumping to keep this alive!!

Unfortunately, I will not be able to make SAS8 this year due to conflicts with finances/ running our own business. Either way, wanted to put our camping reservation up for grabs at the KOA in case someone is in need. Details for the days that we reserved are on the image provided. I can’t remember the campsite number, but I will get that once I contact KOA (full voicemail box).
Let me know if you are interested and I will speak with the KOA to make the proper arrangements to transfer the reservation.
