Things have been slow lately.. Lack of money and other life things. Finally nailed down a day with my mechanic friend to install my Tough Dog lift kit. Bought it this spring and finally.
I worried about this install far too much. After all the stories of pins needing Big Freaking hammers and all sorts of torching to come out, I just knew this would be my luck. But, this was not the case. All the pins/shackles came out no problem except one little fight on the rear side of the front right leaf. We couldnt get that one out without removing the front shaft...
But it all went in and looks sweet. Now I need more money to buy Tires and wheels, or might keep the OEM wheels for a while.
Once the front shaft was out, I noticed the U-joints are junk and the slip yoke is sneezed. Sent it to get rebuilt... separate post on that.. $400, rebuilt. not bad
So when I get the shaft back I'll be installing my new swaybar links(extended) front and rear and swaybar bushings.
I also had my tint buddy do up all the windows a week or so ago.
Last things on the list before some more general maintenance and such will be, finish the exhaust, rear bumper of some sort, remove front bumper(I like the look of no front bumper on the 60&62's for some reason), and finally oil undercoat.

It’s been a while since I posted on my build thread but thought I might as well finish this novel!
She’s not really done, and far from perfect. But she’s legal, registered and driven daily. It was my only vehicle for months until a couple weeks ago. I bought an 07 sequoia. Meh..
But this is how the cruiser looks and it’s fun!

That’s my buddy’s Defender with an LS engine in it. He does all our window tint. He’s one of the best Tinters in the world. The last one is the new kid hauler just before the 2.5 inch lift went on. We tested it out up north over the 4th
