My son spotted this behind a house at the edge of the woods. Exterior is shot. Interior looks to be in surprisingly good shape. Motor turns w/ the hand crank. Glass is good. Seats are good.
At first pass it seems to be slated for parting out.
VIN info: Model FJ55LG-KA, Frame No. FJ55-59121, Color/Trim 266 EA12, Trans/Axle H42 K082
Any suggestions for value?

A few hundred dollars? You could probably get $1000+ for the parts although you don't show the rear so hard to give a more accurate estimate. Those door cards are surprisingly nice. The real experts will wade in here soon enough but I'm thinking a 1975 or 76. Dibs on the crank handle if it gets parted out. :D

Dibs on the rear view mirror! 😉

Man, what a shame! Despite all of that crazy rot, that thing is straight as an arrow with what looked to be really decent paint. 😢
Unfortunately, the value of a 55 is rooted first in the body and the damage on this is too extensive to give it much value. There’s a lot of good looking parts there, so IMO, this one is reduced to parts rig status which on the high end would be $1,500 - $2,000.

Might be a very nice glove box door as well. Have to see the back of it to be certain but I would take a flyer on it just from the front.

Of course, grab handles, door cards and pulls, locks, etc. are all worth something.

Other than the numbers that have already been mentioned as a starting point true value is one of those things that really comes down to what is it worth to the seller and buyer and how much money actually changes hands. To me I would hope to trade a case of beer or two and load it on my trailer but looking at your photos this pig could have some real value to the right guy. The body is a throw away but all the rubber looks to be in remarkably good shape, the rubber floor mats have very little wear from what I can see and I would pay $1000.00 for a pristine set if I needed them. The front windshield rubber again from what I can tell from your pictures looks to be in good shape, if a guy could cut the A-pillars off and peel them off the rubber without damaging it you could have the only usable chrome trim windshield rubber available that could fetch big money on a site like EBay. The list goes on with trim and small parts but it would take a lot of effort to remove all of it then list and sell, for me that is more time and trouble than I’m willing to invest to make a couple grand.

It’s a cool old station wagon that could be a fun project to get running and driving with your son then try to flip it for a small profit as a learning experience for him.

Good luck and thanks for sharing..

If you bought it for 2gs or less, you could make $$$ if you put in the effort 😉!! Windshield $500 easy 😉 , door mirrors $200 to $300 each. If the window and door seals are good and not torn that would pay for it alone. Then other things like window cranks, headlight rings, front, grille. There's money there 🤔😉. Good Luck 👍🇺🇸

Shyrock,

You never said what your plan is for it. Try to make some money or dump a bunch of money into it? Do you have another pig and need parts? There's a lot easier ways to make money than trying to part out this wagon.

2nd in line for plate, good stuff there.
Mike

front bumper is probably worth 500 to the right guy, there is a couple grand in parts there, but a lot of work taking one apart, then waiting for buyers. I would go a grand

Tailgate handle
Tail light lenses
Reflectors
Back up lights
Turn signals
Front bumper
Steering wheel
Windshield
Instrument cluster
Glove box door
Dash pad
Etc..., etc..., etc... good pieces

Tailgate could go to that guy that wanted to graft the TOYOTA lettering onto his 45LV
