Mine (see photo of passenger side) is in no way connected to the vehicle. Gravity holds it in place while i shut the hood but there appears to be several places where some form of a connector would be used?

Can i either buy the connectors or order a new seal? Anyone able to find a part number of that seal?

Many thanks!

There are clips that hold it to the plastic cowl which in turn hold the leading edge of the cowl to the body of the vehicle. I had it apart last summer when I repainted my cowl and they're about $1 each from a dealer.

You can see in your picture to the right of your hand the hole where one of them goes through and also the scratch marks of someone prying them from the leading edge.

Has your windshield been replaced. If so, tech removed the clips (which damages them) and failed to replace them. That cowling below the windshield has to come out to replace the windshield and it is also held to the body by those clips.

This is the closest thread I could find to post this question. I am not looking for the same part as the first post. But the trim between the Cowl and glass above. I have circled in red:

If any one has the part number, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

I believe that seal is part of the cowl, as no info is listed on the parts diagram... RH and LH "cold weather spec parts

Both listed as avialable from IMPEX...

I see both standard and cold weather cowls available. Anyone know the specific differences between the two?

I just did my windshield and got all new rubber. My new piece came with those clips from Toyota.

Not certain, but I believe it is just a manufacturing process issue. Either will work unless you live in the extreme cold!

Thanks everyone for the input. That is what I was afraid of... Good thing I still love this truck after 20+ years....
