I've attended the past two round up's with you fine folks. In November, 2020 we were up against the creek bed in area A below. Last March we were on the other side of the creek in area B. Any consensus on where to try to settle this time? Both areas are desirable because they're displaced from the dusty main road at the left edge of the picture.

My experience has been that we always try for area A and take it if it’s available. To be honest I really liked area B last year. I think if we end up in either we’ll be golden.

I can bring some firewood. Anyone else?
I have some to bring, just checked the TAMU fire ban map and Mason County is still ok but it’s the outlier. We could see a burn ban any day.

I always like the Zone A living room but last year was nice too. It’s going to be really dusty this year.

I thought B was crowded last year. Where the hell did all of these new folks come from?!

I'll bring some wood, too.

This is the best camp spot I've had, if its available to the first to arrive. X marks the spot.

thought A was great for a circle camp configuration but was louder than B from people coming and going at the entrance. Also, B allowed us to meet some other cruiserheads from different regions. I would vote for B if we can get a good spot there.

Hopefully Black Dog Traders got everything they needed for their Instagram page last year. They took up about 2000 square feet with their full overlanding influencer camp site.

… although this is only my third RU so I’m kinda new. Ouch.

What time are ya’ll shooting to get out there tomorrow? We can aim to meet and help stake some claims.

I'm headed out mid-morning through Dripping Springs.

I may be using tomorrow to get ready. Maybe work on my 40 one last time in an effort to get it up and running.

Save room for the old timer Scamp aka the Austin group beacon. I should be rolling in this afternoon. Time TBD

Beacon? You mean the one with the clouds of smoke emanating from it?

Looks like Houston and Ledo folks have area A. B is pretty open.

This is us.
