I'm not that retarded, I just didn't feel like calculating what you described:flipoff2:

Once I save up the change to buy a Toybox, I'll be around 200:1 final drive with my 35's.

obviously a 4.7 toybox, that is the direction i was going to go too but seeing how well joels crawls at 170 and 40's i think ill be ok for a while and if i feel the need for that extra low range i can swap out my split case gears for about the same as a toybox:meh:

to calculate it up real fast is easy
gear ratio of gear you want to be in X doubler ratio (if you have one) X transfer case ratio X differential gear ratio = crawl ratio.

EX. of what i plan to drop in.

6.56 x 2 x 2.28 x 4.56 = 136.406016

And to get your MPH at a particular RPM in stupid low is calculated with the following formula:
.00595 * ( RPM * loaded tire radius ) / crawl ratio

I understand, don't you worry.:D

In stupid low with, let's say 36" tall tires ( deflated 38's or whatever ), at 1000 RPM you'd be driving at:
.00595 * ( 1000 * 36 ) / 136 = 1.575 MPH.

Definitely slow:grinpimp:

not cruiser related... but it is my tow rig so it kinda is... but not really...

drove my dodge tonight and decided to play a little.

i was in 5th the first couple times i made it spike then i went to 4th and partial throttle to 5th boost was hitting 48psi the programmer just takes a second to register and i was on and off of the throttle but went from 55-105 in a couple of seconds when not even floored.:hillbilly:

here is an easy formula... 4.7 with an auto is an overkill and worth every penny. A GM auto for a 60 is worth it. If you are insistent for a stick, 2.28 is plenty depending on tires.

Gonna keep the stick, stupid low makes it easy to do so, not auto easy but pretty damn easy. Tires will be no smaller than what I have now at 38.5 and in thinking my next set will be 40" LTB's lots of people running a 203/205 combo and the stock yota case that I will run with the 203 is lower than that combo.

I keep thinkin about a second low range box then I would have 5 shifters:hillbilly:

in stupind low a 2500 rpm my speedo still doesnt move:meh: .... and yes in stupid low when you start the truck in gear the motor runs for a second before it even moves.... its sounds like its starten with the clutch in:hillbilly::clap::cheers::steer:

sounds like? it feel like it. i think you did it 4 or 5 times before i realized you hadnt even touched the clutch.

;) I told you that you'd love stupid low

That hill I was starting on was kinda steep too

i know, i just didnt know how much i would love it.

a couple pics of said hill for some to understand the size (tho the pics make it look smaller) focus on the angle of the truck im in not so much the stuff in the pictures.

If I was reading correcttly you got close to 1700°F EGT ..?

If I was reading correcttly you got close to 1700°F EGT ..?

yea... turbo is to small and doesnt move enough air, when i get on it like that with the chip all the way up my EGT's will get up and over 1800*F :eek::eek::eek:

i know... its really bad... waaaay not safe either.:whoops:

well i did a little free lance work today and decided to use some of the money for the 60 cause i wanted to drive it.

so i had some brake lines made to replace the one i destroyed when the caliper bolts came out. it ripped the rubber line and the remainder of the backing plate that the hard line attaches to.

so i decided to have lines made to go from the hard lines on the axle straight to the caliper, i had the stock rubber line made 3 inches longer and i think it worked out great!

only did the side that broke for now and i think ill carry the other as a spare for a short bit to see how things go with the other one. and if it doesnt break or fail then ill do the other side when i tear the axle back apart for longs (hopefully sooner rather than later.

ill try and get some pics later of the line and the damage.

then i decided to go out and drive it around, which later led to me getting some poser shots of it flexin up.

here are those shots, just keep in mind it is on 38.5's (which look small to me:meh:) so it kinda gives you an idea of the flex.

found it does rub a little when bound up pretty good, im not running any bump stops and the springs are inverted so im not sure what i want to do, i want the truck to sit lower so when that happens i will cut the fenders up will then i think ill see if it doesnt just bend them out of the way.
