ok time for something of an update tho it isnt really an update im just tired of this thing being back on whatever page it is on.

I hosed it off the other day which is more cleaning than ive done in over a year so who hoo! lol

and then today i decided to add something to set it off a little more and to help identify the rig and myself the driver. Not that i see many spring over 60 series much less spring over 60 series rocking 38.5"+ tires but i wanted people to know who built the rig when they saw me on the trail, what can i say im selfish and want the credit for the work i have done.:meh:

so here it is.

they are vinyl so they should last a good while, i got them for my boat a couple of years ago but the black was to dark on my blue boat and i never ended up using them and have since sold the boat.

and yes i did both sides

How about some 2F-E?

I did buy some of the gaskets i needed with my income tax return, still a couple of other little things i need to finish on it, hopefully i will be starting my job soon and this 7 months of being unemployed will be over with. if i made a 100 bux a week id feel like a baller right now. lol.

I like the sticker. Good placement too. Now go wheel that thing!

i want to, i want to really bad, i rode with Kling-On at round up this year and he let me pilot his rig on a short section of trail and all i can say is holy s*** stupid low is AMAZING!!

so now my plans for her as they stand currently.

go outside in a minute and begin to groove and sipe my TSL's
after i have some money fix the brake failure issue by either replacing or heli coiling the driver knuckle, get shocks on it up front by use of ford shock towers and some 14" travel shocks like posted back a page or so. get the antique plates on it so i can drive it and be motivated to continue working on it. finish 2F-E and get it in and at least running. find a 1F bellhousing, SM465 and a NP203 then buy the AA adapter to go from the 203 to my split case and enjoy stupid low.

its a long list but not really an expensive one i dont think, just need to start that damn job!

What ratio does that combo give you?

Looks good... Like the placment I think I've seen it before

your welcome

And Stupidlowrules ;)

Also don't forget the f bellhousing motor mounts for the clutch slave

that combo would be 136.41:1 pretty damn low
HERE is a sweet calculator, likely the most complete one i have yet to come across.
and HERE is a chart showing popular transmission and transfer case gear ratios

yup yup those too, and for the stickers ive kinda been wanting to do something along those lines for a while and that just seemed the most logical:meh: but the final nail in the coffin was seeing how yours has always been there, i was gonna do it on the fender just forward of where it is now but i figured the door was a safer location.

oh and on your first gear... everything im finding is 7:1 and 7.05:1 havent seen 7.25:1 and using the 7.05:1 ratio it gives you a 169.32:1 crawl ratio with after added with the 2.28 toybox, and the 2.31 early transfer case and the 4.56 gears. and even if you do have a 7.25 first gear your crawl ratio would still be 174.12.

dont try and church it up with you 180:1:rolleyes:

just sayin:flipoff2:

but seeing that makes me not feel so bad about having a 136:1 ratio after the 203 and 465 and considering my current crawl ratio is 37.01:1 i know it will be awesome, i just wont be as slow as you.

this was funny.

started the tire grooving

1.) the before
2.) after i was done with 1 tire
3.) the after of that tire

1.) you can see i cut down the wear bars
2.) what the second tire looked like before i started
3.) the after of grooving. i still need to sipe them both, and im undecided if i want to or should cut the wear bars out on this on as well. my front 2 are definatly the worst of the set the rears have 100x more rubber on them and all i will do to them is groove them as the siping is still good on em.

Mmm just quoten what I was told guess I shoulda looked more huh... When ingot it I did find a sorce that did show a early 420 with 7.25 first and this is a early unit cause the A/A snought didn't fit it... But 170ish is stil bad ass :p

just givin ya a hard time, it is dirty low, when you can start your truck in gear on a pretty large hill and it not even slow the starter any is sick.

The 203 to splitcase adapter is from Jerry Nichols at Clolorado off road express. 560 bucks (or there abouts) and comes with the output shaft, hardware, bearing and s***TY instructions.
I cant WAIT to try mine out!

Get to work!

ahh thanks for the info, thats an expensive adapter but i think it will be well worth it! i want a toybox but for the price... well its self explanatory.

Yeah MAAAAAN!
The toy boxes are MONEY! That adapter is chump change in comparison. Im really curious to see how it works. Trying to build the linkage now.
That 203 box is BEEF! That is a really NICE feature about it.

for sure something i liked as well, i know the toybox is tough but that 203 came behind factory big blocks, only downfall is it is only a 2:1 doubler. but i still think it will rock.

Crawling is very nice! I have the Marks 3.05 to 1 and I need lower ,so I was thinking Toy-box I really liked the write-up on Fiona. Your 60 will like crawling too.

I'm not that retarded, I just didn't feel like calculating what you described:flipoff2:

Once I save up the change to buy a Toybox, I'll be around 200:1 final drive with my 35's.
final drive.webp
