I'm thinking that I'll mount the pancake mount between the flat plate you see in the pics and adapter (plate being on top of tube for flat surface) and then mount another pancake rubber mount below the plate with a large washer between the bolt head and rubber.
THEN below that I'll skin the the bottom of the tube with some of the plastic cutting board stuff I have or some more plate.
I'm still coming up with the plan to support the 205 but have some good ideas.
Did that make sense?
I need a plasma... and a bender... and a notcher would be nice too.
oh the toys i need.
Wow, you got that tucked up there pretty well, good job! Hope there is not too big a difference in the softness from the poly bushings to the rubber ones.
Should have the next tube bent in about 6 months or so.![]()
That case is clocked up really high. Looks great!
I've never seen plastic used as a slider for this type of application before. Will the plastic deform / scrape away enough to expose the bolts to rocks? I would think the weight of the truck will dominate the plastic pretty easily.
this is the general idea:

I'm open for suggestions but I think matching the motor mounts which are about ~1inch on top and bottom.
this is the boat roller material that I'm "slicing" to make rubber "puck/pancake mounts" for those who are following along:

I found the boat roller stuff at a local boat store (West Marine). I bet you could find it at trailer and RV places too.
