How did you rig that thing up??? I was looking for a link to it but all the pics have disappeared. For the price it is worth the try for me... others have done it and seem to have worked.

Yeah maybe..... 
..... will be getting closer to my goal with that as there will be room for a toy box behind that.

Tell you what, to do a H55 conversion in your truck, you'll need more than just the transmission and transfer case. Flywheel, bellhousing, clutch fork, master and slave cylinders for the clutch, etc.
All of this Toyota MT stuff will be replaced with Cummins / Dodge parts for my swap, so you're more than welcome to the whole 'kit' if you'd like!

Man I thought I updated this thing back when I sold the truck.
Anyway ran into some financial problems back in 2015 and sold the truck to pay off some debt.
Later that year I moved to Seattle.
Bought a hundred, turbo diesel suburban, other rigs, etc....... Always hated having to sell this.
Flash forward to a few weeks back. A friend of mine who knows the guy I sold it to asked me if I may want my truck back. It is not a good time for me to do that currently but I couldn't let it be sold to someone else after 5 years apart lol.
So we struck up a deal and I went and rescued it last Thursday. Flew into Raleigh NC and drove with two friends to Charleston SC to rescue it. It hasn't moved in over a year and didn't do much driving before that. It still has all the parts I sent with the truck. Turbo kit, dual battery kit, extra trans, etc...... still sitting in the back where I put them. At some point it seems the truck got hot and blew a head gasket. Coolant in oil, coolant on plug in #3 cylinder and currently won't start.
I'm back in Seattle now but my friend is going to give it some love before its shipped over to me.

@jonheld So far with the limited time I had with the truck I know I have spark from the coil to the dizzy and to the plugs. We couldn't find a fuel pressure gauge to test but we did have fuel coming from the filter and the truck wouldn't start on starting fluid.
CEL is on so ruling out relay and other related issues.
The truck does crank a bit slower than I remember, but that might just be false, either way I ordered new fusible links to install because I had never replaced it and my spare from the glove box wasn't there anymore. I also have a new reman starter and beefier wires on the way for my friend to install. Not saying those are the culprit but I was going to do better wires anyway as the stock ones have seen better days.
Now it does seem to have a blown headgasket now. There was coolant in the oil when I changed it and the number 3 plug when I changed them had coolant on it. A few of the other plugs were heavily corroded. The were installed back in 06 when I bought it the first time and I put about 40k on the truck before I sold it.
So at least cylinder 3 will have low compression numbers but i'd still think it would start.

Water in the cylinders is usually not a good sign of things to come.
First thing to do is a compression and leakdown test, then pressure test the cooling system before going any further. If the headgasket is in fact an issue, then that needs to be resolved first.
Did this engine overheat? 3FEs usually don't have headgasket issues unless there has been cooling system problems in the past.

I'm guessing it did overheat at some point, the guy I sold it to didn't drive it much but i'm guessing it got hot on him at some point (maybe the electric fans failed), and then parked it for good. He's busy with moving to Texas from Charleston and has some life issues going on so i'm not trying to bug him too much about things, he did me a major solid with the price of the rig after I reported back what I had found.
Not too worried about the motor itself currently as i knew there would be some work after seeing the issues with #3. I really want it to run "well" enough to drive onto the deliver trailer in Raleigh NC and drive off at my house in Seattle, WA and then up my steep ass driveway. Where I can pull the motor and start the rebuild.
Well most likely a 2fte build. I have access to a 2f bottom, I know a few 3fe heads floating around and the rig already has a turbo kit sitting in the rear of it waiting for installation.
As soon as my friend finds his compression tester he will do that to see how bad it is. Sad I can't do it myself but I had to fly back on tuesday and I am about 3000 miles from it currently.
While he's doing the compression test, have him crack the banjo fitting on the cold start injector. There should be fuel spraying out during cranking if you're getting fuel pressure to the rail.

Well found out why the 80 won't start.
went to run compression numbers today figuring the two effected by the blown HG would be low.
Go to run the first one get a big fat zero.... HUH? Double..... triple check its connected right.... still zero.
Mark one as zero and decide to come back to it.
Move on to #2..... same thing.
Use a compressor on the gauge, gauge seems to be working fine.
Finger test #2....... feels like a 90 year old that has been smoking four packs a day is trying to breath softly on me.
Boroscope time.

Got to update this a bit.
This was from the same day as last post. pulled the valve cover to find lovely rust. First three cylinders rockers were not moving.
Thought maybe the rockers had somehow seized from the rust or the push rods were frozen in the bores. Pulled the rocker arm and the rockers move great.
Cleaned them up a bit
Push rods came out fine
So two possibilities either the lobes on the cam for cylinders 1-3 are ground down. (personally I can't see this happening all at once when the truck was running then sitting for years) Or the lifters are F'd. This is much more likely since the HG blew and most likely got a lot of moisture down in there.
Anyway my options at this point were to keep digging or realize that even when I find the issue I won't have the new parts to fix and I don't care about this engine anyway. Plus I was 3k miles from home and I was working remotely.
