Reverse light bulb options? Or, is Pfran it?

I swapped to the Pfrans LED bulbs a few years ago. They were definitely an improvement over the ridiculous OE reverse lights, but still not "bright." Maybe that's all the wiring/circuit will handle? One of the Pfran bulbs just died, so it's time to buy another set... or something else.

Any suggestions?

Be sure to read to the bottom. If you've got an '06, the bulbs linked linked in that thread by that OP won't fit in your truck.

Do you have them to a switch that you have to turn on? Or tied into reverse so they automatically come on? I have a set of 3x2 LED flush mounts but I couldn’t find a place on the bumper without the steel support being in the way. My plan was putting them to a relay then switch.

I only spliced them into the reverse wires making them come on automatically in reverse. No switch. Mine are mounted where reflectors were. Have to take reflector off then cut out holes to mount new light flush with bumpers.

Awesome!!! I totally forgot until you just said that. Once I realized I couldn't do the square ones, that was my next thought. Glad to see someone's put it in practice. I'll order a couple of those single row lights today. Thanks.

I purchased a pair of these bulbs from SuperBrightLEDs back in December of 2014 and I’ve been extremely pleased with them, I will post pics later tonight of just how bright they are. And by bright I mean these things are BRIGHT! Both the focusing lens plus 350lm makes them almost blinding to look directly at, and they are exponentially better while reversing in the dark due to the massive area they illuminate. Unfortunately that particular bulb has been discontinued, but for those who have a later year 100 like my 2000 you can click on their recommended alternatives and it'll give you a couple different options.

I see you have an '06 so this one (base 921) would be the equivalent to mine (base 7440).

For reverse in my 2006 100 I am happy with these. The light is widespread, not focused backwards. It improves direct rear vision perfectly well and also will make me more visible to anyone driving by the side as I back out of a parking space.
