FWIW I spent the weekend wheeling with senior Toyota development engineers at Overland Expo East and they told me to keep my AHC. I have a 2006 LC w/165k, it's still working fine, and I like it.

Race prep is near complete. Testing went really well last week. Tonight we buttoned up the 2016+ refresh in prep for wrap. @Box Rocket knocked it out the park with the wrap design.

Yeah but, all the other vehicles in the class only see tail lights... :rimshot:

I made up a fitting (plug) for my compressed air hose with tape wrap around it. Then plugged tail pipe with taped fitting/air hose. Then dial up the air pressure a bit. I then turn the crank CW so that all valve at cylinder where I'm inspecting...

If you can pull and replace fully assembled CV shafts, you have the skills to reboot them, its easy, just messy. Get OEM Toyota CV boot kits for an FJ Cruiser use a year of 2007, exact same kits for the Lexus. Two boots, bands and 4 bands...

Today was my first real drive with the bracket. Background: I got my 80 in 2001 with about 110,000. It already had a OME heavy 2.5 inch (or so) suspension. No caster correction. Today I have 358,000 miles. I still run that suspension (have...

Oh wait, that's not a hard pipe, that's the ABS wire and bracket. Yes? The hard pipe is below all that from the pic. If that's the case, you have more degree of flexibility.

Thanks for the feedback! Just to be clear, there should be no need to go to the length of removing the spring to flip the bolt. If you pull the wheel, you can easily move the spring out of the way with a large enough lever. 80mm bolt is not...

But have you actually looked at the front end geometry? Stock sucks track and drag are different lengths with different angles at a stock height. Lift and it just gets worst. It gives me anxiety, I ignore it for now but will be addressed some...

Ditto @woody A tip from @Delta VS helped: install axle pocket bolt first. That's actually in the instructions. Doh.

Excellent question. The adjustable panhard bar could look like a crazy straw, but the fact of the matter is it connects in the same two places no matter what path it takes to get there (straight or curved). Because of the connection points, it...

For a 2003 GX470, start to finish under 30 min after I got the truck on jackstands. I replaced the o-ring and rod seal using a inexpensive Amazon kit. Easy enough to do that I can do it again if needed. And if it lasts 1/2 as long as the...

The thickness of the bolt-on recovery point helps keep screw pin bow shackles from getting too sideways. The thickness of the bolt-on recovery point also helps keep the recovery point from being damaged when it hits rocks, since it is low...
