Found the problem!
I managed to trap a wire from the LPG system between the valve cover and block. It’s the wire which piggy backs from the injector wire #1 and goes to the LPG ECU.
Trapping it underneath the valve cover made a pretty solid...
After looking around for a used 7 way trailer wiring harness(Toyota pn: 82177-60010, Wire Frame No. 4) and having no luck, I decided to build my own. The Toyota price of $210 + shipping was riddiculous to me for what that is. I wanted to stay...

The 5.3 seems to be a waste unless your going for a cheap easy way and able to pull it off yourself. The 6.2 is what you guys should be gunning for on your turbo. I think I saw Scott post RWHP is close to 265’ish in a 100 series. I have 1000’s of...
This. my next Cruiser will most likely be a LS swapped 80 and I'd budget about 6-7k for the entire truck
Also I never pay more then $160-250 for a LS engine. $150 valve springs, $250 cam and actual good gas would net about 100hp
100% bolt-in AC hose kit for Gen 3/4 truck compressor (and assuming using 4l60e/6l80e with stock crossmember/transfer placement) will be available to order soon. Will be a suction hose and high pressure hose (from compressor to condenser) already...
Attempt #3
However… I never could quite debounce the momentary switch to latched relays. If the cruise switch was off the relays would buzz like crazy. As long as the cruise was on (not engaged, but on) everything worked fine. In addition it...
I wanted to highlight a number of V8 swaps from years past. As the archive gets deeper, it's important to discuss those who came before us to know what has changed, the limitations of early motivations and the acceptance of doing certain swaps...
for my conversion i used a combination of a 3in lift and a tattons spicer style CV shaft to gain the needed clearance around the transmission pan. The tatton shaft is a 2in dia tube. It's also a good idea if you are using a truck variant of the...
Let me know if you want a copy my 93/94 pin out spread sheet. I put it together to help me figure the interface when I did my swap. A number of people on this board now have a copy of it and I would like to see it get put to good use. Pretty much...
I agree with stuckinthe80's, 5.3 is a much better motor all around than the 5.7. The 5.7 was a sort of "in between" step between the old school TBI motors (junk) and the modern vortecs. Price is not going to be a whole lot different and the 5.3...
I'm pretty sure it was the 18-22 yr olds abusing them vice them being pieces of crap. I used to do the maintenance on the Ford-based Bearcats for the Marines/Navy, and they were beat to hell also. Hell, they were just running around a Navy base...
Pretty much any LS-series motor is known to be reliable and they all pretty much bolt up and wire up the same. 4.8, 5.3, 6.0, 6.2 pick your poison. Obviously the smaller engines are cheaper and the 5.3 is probably the easiest to find...
