Cool. But how would they do it? Thanks for your response. I know a local shop that could do this.Any place that does hydraulic hoses could make you some.
You tell them what size hose, what ends you need, and overall length. They go to the back, cut the hose to length, and crimp on the ends.Cool. But how would they do it? Thanks for your response. I know a local shop that could do this.
I like crimps. You tell them what size hose, what ends you need, and overall length. They go to the back, cut the hose to length, and crimp on the ends.
Absolutely. Thanks.Hydraulic hose ends are always crimped on. You never want to depend on a worm gear clamp with 2200+ psi of hot oil.
When we put a 2015 EcoBoost 2.3L in a 1972 Maverick, we installed a remote oil filter. Super simple. Works great. As mentioned previously, once you know hose length, have a shop fab them with quality AN fittings. I'm preferential to XRP, but there are several providers. Don't skimp on stuff like oil and fuel lines.

Nice looking install, but how is it to change the oil filter when mounted like that? Looks like one would end up with a large spill on the engine bay? When we put a 2015 EcoBoost 2.3L in a 1972 Maverick, we installed a remote oil filter. Super simple. Works great. That's the first thing I noticed also. The number one reason I'm thinking of installing a remote oil filter on my '92 is so I can unscrew the filter without dumping a quart of burnt oil down the side of the engine and all over the axle and shop floor.Nice looking install, but how is it to change the oil filter when mounted like that? Looks like one would end up with a large spill on the engine bay?

Off topic, but do you have more pics of this or a build thread somewhere?!
This is the way I've seen Amsoil remote setups installed. It's really clean.I installed my remote dual filters behind the front bumper, between the bumper and front core support. I ran the hoses through a hole in the core and over to the filters. They are out of the engine bay, out in the open and easy to change.
As long has they have the correct crimp specs for the hydraulic hose and fittings you are using. Crimp specs below.I like crimps.![]()
