OK, so it's just a bodge fix instead of replacing an original relay.
Off the top of my head, the relays there are:
Hazard lights (flasher)
Tail lights
Heater (blower fan)
Vacuum solenoids for a vacuum shifting transfer case (H4 button type)
Try switching everything on and off and see when the relay is energised.

Spot on mate. Indicators stopped working as soon as i disconnected it

The model-specific relay is discontinued.
You can use a relay from a post-1999 truck. Part number is 81980-32010.
Chances are the PO looked for the old part, did not find it and jury-rigged a substitute.
