I’m not far from you! In Columbus! I never did find anyone Cruiser specific in Indiana. My husband has had an ‘86 Toyota 4Runner for most of his driving life and has ended up doing 99% of my mechanic work.Did you every find anyone in Indiana? I am down in Bloomington.
Thanks MikeLots of travelling cruiserheads and many new owners would like to locate a reliable mechanic in their area, or know who to go to if they have a problem on the road.
It has been suggested that we try to establish a sticky thread for people to make personal recommendations for a mechanic they know well and with whom have done business.
Please provide:
City (or County) & STATE
Name of Mechanic
Phone number
Let's try to get some solid recommendations for our brother (and sister) Cruiserheads.

Gary is well known and respected in Northern CA, and gets customers from other states as well. He has done quite a bit of work for me, and for others on this board. Highly recommended.
Thanks Mike
I'd like one near Los Angeles, Ca. If anyone knows a good one, thanks in advance
Thank, I've been using K&H for years now, they know the gas versions very well and pretty much anything else. Not so strong on the turbo diesels. I'll give them a shot at it.!K&H Imports in Canoga Park is your best bet. The old owner, Richard, sold the shop, but the new owners have really stepped up in the last two years. Basically, everyone in southern California in between Santa Barbara and Los Angeles goes here. I've been with these guys since 2014 and have nothing but positive experiences.
Know of anyone in the Flathead Vally?@mep1811
I agree steve, ross, and Jared at overland cruisers do great work and are good guys who go out of their way to make your service go well..my fj62 got some service right after your truck was in and was quick since I had a 3 hour drive to get home,,it went so well in fact I brought it back this week for some more work..
Worth the drive...glad to have good Toyota mechanics in montana...
Anyone in Indiana?
I just relocated back to Evansville. I've updated and maintained my and many of my friends rigs over the last few years and daily my 60 series. I am not a professional by trade, but I have done everything from head gasket, fuel system, hubs, knuckles, suspension, electrical, desmog, etc. for lots of cruiserheads and other toyotas from my time in Florida.Does anyone know a good Cruiser wrench in Southern Indiana. I am in Bloomington and would be happy to travel to Fort Wayne, Cinci, Louisville, Evansville, Danville...any who down in Whoville.
Did you ever find anyone? I know Ed Martin Toyota on the north side of Indy works on lots of Land Cruisers. I know of a few folks who have had work done there, myself included.I’m not far from you! In Columbus! I never did find anyone Cruiser specific in Indiana. My husband has had an ‘86 Toyota 4Runner for most of his driving life and has ended up doing 99% of my mechanic work.
