One still does require some work.

This should make life a lot easier.

I am hooked. What ya got?

Funny, getting something to help not to hurt your back really hurts your back before it helps.
first by getting it in the shop, then unloading and building it.

Rotisserie! Nice!

Then I started on the front windscreen frame, this was eye balling me for the last few years and I wanted to find out if I could save it.
It is bend and lost a bit of steel along the way.

gote everything off and started tearing into it.

lots of rust.

At first I thought I could cut sections out and replace them with new metal but the bends are making that difficult.
Then I decided to split the two parts.
Bending the top and bottom lips open.

Only a limited number of spot welds.

And a two piece window frame.

As you can see there is lots of rust inside, this was the only way to tackle this.

the outside Looks like it was under water at some time.

then I started with the inside frame and clamped it on the welding table.

As soon as the two pieces were separated it was a lot easier to straighten them.
started cleaning to see what needs to be replaced.

Jig is hanging in the rotisserie.

the frame is almost square, I compensated with the position of the cross bars to make it square within 1mm.
The three tub to frame cross sections are in the correct position.

The Center line is in, the two cross bars for the cargo floor positions must be set.
Next are the brackets for the mounting points and then position the tub.

Just a quick update, waiting on steel for the brackets on the jig.
continued with the frame, straitened it as much as possible and started making templates of the shapes.

The down side of shop improvements is the time it takes you away from the reason you have the shop in the first place.😏

I now know what you mean 🤣

That is a great refurb and improvement of that machine!!! Sure it will help you a lot!

Thanks, I'll check it out, though I suspect it'll just make the drooling problem worse. I'll just wear a bib. :D
