Rear heater bypass question

What is the part number for the 90° hose (pictured) guys are using?

Is there also a factory hose for the other side of the heater bypass?

I just went to the parts store and bought a 5/8 Gates heater hose with the 90 molded into it. Cut to length and installed. No idea on the number, was around $6 I believe.

Rear heater are the only 12mm hose that I am aware of; that is 5/8" or 13mm.

Silicone FHH kit for rear heat bypass?

Ended up using straight silicone hose and used extra long pieces to make plug swaps a bit easier

My 405,xxx mile valve job....

Not having to worry about the old metal lines running to the rear heater core failing at the wrong time (is there ever a right time?)

For me the benefit will be piece of mind. After my exhaust upgrade that now runs over the frame the exhaust is very close to the heater rubber lines and its only a matter of time before I have a problem with lines bursting. A rear heater is not needed by me for one being in Arizona and two since I installed seat heaters.

That's good to know. My exhaust is not that long with the world, and I am planning an over the frame exhaust. And frankly, I've never used the rear heater.

Good use of space partly why Im removing mine. I plan to make the space under the seat into a secured locked area. Although I have a personal vault you cant fit a laptop or a DSLR camera in it.

My engine is out due to headgasket and full rebuild. I removed my rear heater. I'm going back with one of these.

This is why I get bent when people start picking apart designs. EVERYTHING is a tradeoff. There is no free lunch, only engineering priorities.

Found it - 3.5" x 7.5" x 5/8" is needed for best fit

No

If you're relying on your heater cores to help cool the engine, you really need to have your cooling system checked

No front or rear water heater flow unless you have the temp adjustment to heat.
