Howdy Fellas,

Could one of you experienced fine gentlemen explain to me what pros and cons are with RCV vs Nitro Gear.

I know RCV is made in house and Nitro has switch vendors a couple of times.

I'm specifically looking at these two set ups.

RCV
Ultimate 300M Rear Full Float Axle Set for Toyota Land Cruiser 80
Ultimate CV Axle Set for Land Cruiser 80 Series ('91-'97) - 30 Spline 300M Shaft Upgrade

VS

Nitro Gear
Home > Products > Axle Shafts & Kits > Rear Axle Upgrade Bundle Packages >Nitro Pro Series
Chromoly 32 Spline
Full Float Rear Axle Kit
Home > Products > Axle Shafts & Kits > Front Axle, Birfield Kits > Toyota >Toyota Land Cruiser, 80 Series, 30/24(big)/30 Spline, Front, Nitro Chromoly Birfield Axle Kit

Thanks for your help!

I’m running the RCVs front never a problem, had the Nitro in the rear and Twisted one, Nitro would not warrantee them. Several other people on the board have had issues with them as well. RCVs are more money but you get what you pay for. They have a better warranty and good customer service.
I have not heard of any one braking a RCV and they are widely used in the off-road racing world. I well be getting a rear set to go with the fronts.

Thank you sir! Here is the dump question what does 300M mean? The rears are 300M and the fronts can be upgraded to 300M, what the difference?

I asked this same question a while back. A lot of people told me to go with the RCV, better customer service, warranty, and American made.

I have seen first hand the rear nitro's break on the trail on an fj60 and have heard of many others having problems with them. In most cases nitro had no explanation for the issues.

300 m is the material
