Rare clunk in my shaft when I put D or R (3 Viewers)

Hey.
I have a rare noise when I put my 100 in D or R, I changed the CVs (those CVs were too old and damaged), the noise deceased but still there.
Could it be the universal joint in the drive shaft? This noise is awful.

Could be a few things. Excessive lash in one or more diffs, transfer case, or u joints. (Spider joints) also the front diff support is known to cause this clunk. See photo from cruiserpatch.

Potentially diff mount bushings. Replacing mine has made a world of difference.

The transfer case is in great conditions, however I need to check the front diff support.

did you change the drive flanges with the front axle change?
you can remove the front driveshaft and engage the transfer case lock and drive on rear only and see if the noise goes away, then you know which end of the rig to focus on

Mb u are right men. I dont changed the drive flanges.
My conclusions until now are 3:
1.Replace the diff mount bush.
2.Spider joints.
3. Drive flanges
 
if above 170,000 miles I would say drive shafts / flanges they wear together. .. my advice is .. when your boots start leaking about 150-170K.. let them leak and save up for new flanges and drive shafts.

I paid twice, the damn dealer charged me to reboot the drive shafts.. (Never do this).. just save up and refresh the drive shafts / flanges with OEM. wait for the extra 25% off parts sale.. not cheap but only way to go.
