Too bad they cut short and didn’t paint the firewall. Probably a lot more details they skimped on.
Time to do a frame-off resto-mod to get those fixed.

Not really a fan of round tube bumpers either
But the potential is there for a really nice rig.
Floor in Pig in aThe floor and door jamb pics looked very clean![]()

Seems to me that the firewall is very nicely preserved and original. Some folks do a better job of preserving good original stuff, because it makes no sense at all to dig that far into a project which you're going to sell. He didn't skimp on the build, he probably put his money into what needed to be fixed, and didn't touch structurally sound steel with the paint still on it. I personally think that this seller chose a very reasonable place to draw the line.Too bad they cut short and didn’t paint the firewall. Probably a lot more details they skimped on.

Yeah, no, I’m not buying any of that. The firewall wasn’t painted because it’s a PITA to do right with the engine in the way, and they weren’t willing to pull the engine (and master cylinder, and clutch master, and lines, and all the other) to paint it right. Don’t even give me this “wanted to preserve” stuff!Seems to me that the firewall is very nicely preserved and original. The new owner can paint the firewall if he thinks it will improve his enjoyment of the truck. Personally, I've got better things to worry about and most other people do too. Do we need to insinuate that corners have been cut, simply because this person took a more reasoned and careful approach to his build?
I don't think it reflects poorly on the truck, it's a beautiful truck.
I can accept not every Pig is going to be a frame off, it can still have good bones without a full strip down resto. Lots of them die when taken apart to that point as they never go back together…look at some “projects” we have seen pictures of over the years that stalled after “every nut and bolt” didn’t happen.Yeah, no, I’m not buying any of that. It’s a nice rig from the pics, but I didn’t look at all of them, and the fact this rig could only pull $17G is telling me there were more unfinished details with this thing. Without looking.

Well Duh…you know how hard it is to get those stickers off!The guy that built the $125,000 FJ55 could not be bothered with removing the sticker off the shackle.
I think that one was done by TLC in Vermont. I seem to remember it being a monster expensive build
Drive it on the trails and get some nice trail pinstripes of course!Seriously though…what would you even DO with a truck that nice, other than clean it![]()
