Close friend of mine is selling his f250. Who needs a tow rig?

That looks clean! I don’t know fair market value, but it seems like good pricing at first glance given condition and what he’s done to it while he’s owned it.

Anyone know anything about this 40 in Kannapolis:

I really don't need parts truck, but I do need a coupe of parts it has. Chime in if you think you'd like to help me scavenge...

There is an absolute auction , hardware store May 24 some of you may be close to.

Just posted my blue 80-series for sale. Take a look. I have more pictures if anyone wants to see them.

Pretty sure this used to belong to @jrmudder92

haha "previous owner turned this into the gadget mobile........."

yep - that's him. His current truck looks like a Turkish bazaar there's so much hanging from it and inside it :)

I knew it when I saw the orange. He's a big fan of my orange tundra (that's not a euphemism)

without knowing anything about that series, the work they did looks GREAT. How high do you think the auction will reach?

Not sure how much it will fetch, but something is odd. A '78 should have ambulance doors and vent windows on the hard top. It's a 43, so it's a little stretched. I could be wrong about the vent windows on a 43. It's a "frame off restoration", so I guess they could have changed things a bit.

That is anyone's guess. Traditionally, Land Cruisers do not bring huge money at GAA. The LC market is also down as well. It may well be a good time to pick up a deal too. Ask Dave Rushing about the one we saw there with the letters stenciled on the leaf springs. It was very funny. Point being, it may look really good in photos but you do not know unless you are right there looking at it.

Rear axle looks out of place in the wheel well. Could that be the difference in a 40 and 43 chassis? I have no clue.

I am amazed how many cars go to internet or phone bidders. I need to lay eyes on something I am buying, at least at that price point.

Look away. It is a typical lipsticked-up South American FJ43. Despite the pretty paint, there are untold mechanical sins being committed here, many of which you will not find until you start driving it. Let's start with the horrendous shackle angles caused by springs that are way too short. Do I need to mention the wonky low-hanging exhaust? Crooked TOYOTA grille badge. Aftermarket sag pump (not necessarily a bad thing). This 43 has an aftermarket fiberglass top that has been painted to make it look like an original style steel top. South American trucks are typically 4 wheel drum brakes and no heaters. Bid at your own risk.

I honestly hate how the guy I sold it to and this guy ruin it by letting it sit.

EDIT- Oh a new owner has it now. hmmm

You never know how the new guy is going to treat it. With that said, I understand where you’re coming from not only with your time spent in it but the fact there’s one less on the road because of some guy’s poor decisions.

Sounds like you should acquire it and bring it back to a functional state.

So I did reach out to the new owner and he basically robbed the parts he wanted off of it then is selling it as is. Said he may try and buy an ecu to see if that will fix it. But I have no clue what the guy I sold it too and the guy he sold it to did to the truck by letting sit I know they did some hodgepodge stuff to it from when I last saw it. I know it has way more rot/rust now. interior is completely ruined.

Honey as much as I loved this truck I would stay far way from it. It's in such awful condition.

Friend of mine with an enclosed trailer is selling it because of having a kid and doing less camping. Very similar setup to the motel. Have a look! If you're in the market for a short goose, this is a good one.
