You should buy it, you already have the 4x4, the trailer, the pickup truck, two sports cars, this will complete the set!
I kinda want to, but I already have a friend with a boat. That's the best kind of boat.

Good price on a Toyota boat - Toyota made 1UZ powered ski boats back in the late 90s - early 2000s for a few years. Someone buy it so I quit being tempted. These are normally a lot pricier.

@iptman Do you need another one?

They are great boats but no, I don't need another one. That one is a direct drive closed bow version which is a little too single threaded for my tastes but with 1000 pounds of ballast that thing will curl an awesome wake for surfing. I will say, though, that non-emmissioned 1UZ would be perfect in a 40.

Here's my Toyota boat adventure thread if any of you care to take a look.

Yeah it probably is... none of my friends have boats and I have a strong desire so I'm probably going to end up being that guy.
Start here....https://www.epicmarine.com/forum/ There's also a FB group which is only a bit more active than the Epic Marine forums. Hit me up if you do take a swing at this one.

Now is really not the right time for me for a variety of reasons but if it was I would be extremely tempted to pick it up. If I ever get there though I'll check those out!

Having never owned a boat....would this be a "good" first one?

I've also never owned one but having a Toyota V8 sounds like a good start, and it also seems a reasonablensize. @iptman seems to have one?

Most of my knowledge comes from this thread:

I read that thread. Solid info! I’ve done minimal auto wiring, but zero marine whatsoever.

Anyone around this area of SC (Clemson adjacent) that knows boats and could take a look? Seller seems on the up and up via FB messenger, but I was hoping to get some knowledgeable insight before driving down. I'll gladly contribute to your LC/beer/travel/whatever fund for this ask. TIA.

I am not, but if you buy this I wanna ride in it at least once as the initial enabler

I'm glad everyone else thought this was as cool as I did, I sent it to all of my friends the other day when I stumbled across it on marketplace

I’m going to pass on the Toyota boat. Thanks again for posting. It needs more work than I am going to jump in for given its age. Seller seems like a good guy though tbh. Please post if you buy it!!!
