The Auto Zone here had the same deal on the $ 10 rebate, but the price on that light was $ 14. Still a good deal! JohnSad day. No pep boys in my neck of the woods.

You buy it. No need for me to buy another one.
04UZJ100 said:Does anyone have any technical info on the frame in the 100 or engine. From what I gather:
-3.2mm thick high strength fully boxed frame rails
-9 (I think from memory) cross-members
-At introduction, it exceeded the strength of the Range Rover frame which isn't applicable in current generations
I know that the 200's frame is 40% stiffer torsionally and 20% stiffer flexurally - but what does that mean? Are there any benchmarks?
Looking underneath the 4R and the LC, there is no comparison. Th 4R is beefy but the 100 is bomb-proof. How does it compare to say the new F150 fully boxed frame. The Raptor platform seems like it can take quite a lot of abuse; however, it is exactly the same frame used in the POS base V6 F150. I don't want to hear the Ford vs. Toyota rep junk (we know the R&D behind the Cruiser is leagues ahead) - I want technical info.
Regarding the V8 - we all know it is one of the most reliable bulletproof power-plants available in ANY car today. Some of the neat features it has are:
-Lack of an EGR system to reduce carbon buildup where poor quality gasoline is prevalent
-Toyota Direct Ignition - starts on the 4th crank every time, fuel is not injected until the last one to allow oil to circulate
-Sintered forged connecting rods unlike its US' UZ counterpart
-Iron block
I'm a Mech-E background and want to satisfy my curiosity. I have the full PDF from Toyota about the 100 cruiser and its features but want tests/numerical data!
So - what are the features, that nobody knows about, that makes a cruiser a cruiser.
What is this PDF you speak of? Are you referring to the FSM ?
No I have that an one detailing design features including oil routing, electronic communication lines etc etc. Couple hundred pages.
You sir need to email or drop box it to me. Please and thank you.
some technical info in this thread. i posted the last bit from a friend at trd which i believe is "in-house" documentation. I might have a couple more similar docs, will dig around...
