i think with a little cutting and fab this will also work on top of the roll bar, and only $119. so if i mess it up i am not out alot of $$$$$

what do you all think ?

Cheers ...

Basket dimensions: 60" x 20" x 6". Sounds about right. If you don't have to worry about passengers in the rear of your rig, I'd pull the trigger on it.

Here is what I made from PVC...

MNTCRZR,

Here is a rollbar rack that I built from PVC pipe. I use it to haul tents, sleeping bags and duffles leaving the back for the heavier coolers and camp gear. This is not the best picture but you can get the idea. I need to pull it out and take some good pics as I have had requests from others to build something similar. I used conduit on the corners to get a more contoured look.

It took about $60 worth of parts to build it and a knack for glueing and fitting PVC.

Let me know if you want more details,

Keith

Several out there. MAny require you to have to buy some type of rear bumper.
Spector has one made by Wilderness. My personal opionion is it does not swing well when loaded (saw it at an off road show)

Man-A-Fre has a nice set up made by their Fab guy. Seen it in person and it is well made

I have one made by Decker's, www.deckersonline.com . Very well made

Kurt at Cruiser outfitters made up a nice one as well for his truck

Do a search her on mud and you'll find more. Also check out the bumper section on the home page here at mud for other ideas.
Here is a picture of mine.

Pete,
Not to hi-jack the thread, but I like the look of your high-lift jack mount. From the look of it, you just have it bolted to the spare tire carrier. Do you have a special nut to keep crooks from unbolting? Do you have any more pics? I just got a high-lift from the wife for Christmas and want to get it mounted. I currently have a bikini top on the cruiser, but am going to get a hard-top on in the future and want to keep it from interfering. Thanks,
Ryan

FJ40 MNTCRZR

Take a look at the one on my rig. It's at the top in the 40 & 55 column as (ROTW) Rig of The Week. That is a heavy duty aluminum one that has a 600lb capacity. I picked mine up at a NAPA outparts store for around $125. I pulled the male end of the reciever out and replaced it with some 2" square tubing. I did this so I can still use it with in my receiver during the off season when my hard top is on. Get yourself some long muffler clamp u bolts that will fit around your roll bar. Drill some holes in the rack and your done.

Are these guys still making bumpers? Anyone have more pics of this rear bumper?
