Man marshall hate to hear you are still feeling bad........... it wouldn't be the same without you, so up the meds and get to feeling better!!! Oh the trails shouldn't be bad for a stock 80, any pinstriping should buff right out :grinpimp:

yep thats what I was thinking also.

Well guys it is looking like things are shaping up great for us!!!! Looks like the rain will be outta here in time for the weekend with cooler temps in the 50 and 60 during the day and partly cloudy skies...... should be nice and nippy at night low 30s :grinpimp:. Plus all this rain in the upcoming days should make the trails a little more interesting :D............. I talked with my parents who where at their home over in Maggie valley this weekend and they said the colors were really starting to show and should be near peak by this coming weekend!!

Needless to say I am getting stoked........ only 3days to go

I drove up to Asheville this weekend for my daughters climbing competition... Drove home Sat evening as the sun went down and it was beautiful! Colors were definitely starting to show. Can't wait!!!!

Guess I better pack.

I have everything but clothes and food already in my Piggie! :bounce::bounce2:

So far I have gas in SORF, and beer in the fridge. I'm almost done packing now that I think about it.:D

I haven't packed anything. That is what Thursday morning is for :)

I'm so far behind in packing. I still have 4 brand new BFG MT's in the back of my truck right now, a la UC Annual Event Grand Prize:grinpimp: Going to order a new set of wheels for Cat's GW tonight and drop off the new meats. Bertha will be ready for the trails pretty soon.

Sucks you can't make it Alex.........

I'll let Dan-O lead the way on the Wet Camp trail so he came prove his man hood :D ...........plus 2" of rain on clay soil and no lockers don't go together well; I have a feeling I might have to be dragged up

My iroks will be at 18 lbs or so this trip, should do better than those damn MTRs :)

Well made some progress tonight. Got the stock bumper pulled went to install the IPOR and looks like I need to cut out the rear crossmember for it to fit?? I am calling IPOR tomm to find out. Also got my rear ubolts pulled off so I can put in the extra leaves on my rear springs. Should get those wrapped up tomm.

Battery is on charge tonight and if that doesnt fix it then I will get it checked at a shop tomm. If the batt is good I am going to start drawing straws!

Shocks should be on tomm or Wednesday afternoon. (Wouldnt be the first time running Cullowhee without shocks though.) No shocks = crazy drive there and back! Been there done that, rather not do it again.

Then in the midst of all that and traveling for work this week, trying to see if this will be one of the last major trips for the 62. Will know more later and post up details then.

I am getting hyped too! JP you doing Rotel, or do one of us need to bring it??

Rain...

As JP and others joke about the rain I am tempted (as I sit here late at night with my damn dogs wanting to go outside) to mention how important good tires will be this year.

I think we will be having a LOT of mud. The balds last year were wet and many had issues getting up...this year will be no exception.

I predict a winchfest in a lot of cases...should be awesome, bring your waterproof boots! :)

I will be there for Saturday night

I have firearms training till 4pm, so I plan on hiking in from the Parkway on the Mt. to the Sea Trail Saturday night. Should be just as it gets dark. Look forward to hanging out with you guys!
