So I was doing a mini-truck PS conversion over the weekend when I realized I had the wrong PS pump, so I went to the bone yard and got one off an '84 4Runner. When I was cleaning it up I noticed some sort of vacuum looking deal on the side and wanted to make sure I could just cap this off:

Anyone know what it is? It's in the way of my smog-bracket pivot point -
